Sidetone When on my Treo 650 the people on the other end complain about being able to hear themselves. Anyway of fixing this sidetone ?

Greetings to all. I have just purchased a palm treo 650. It was unlocked so I was told, but it was not a GSM, It was a CDMA, My carrier is T Mobile and I dont know what I could to Make It Work, as t mobile has a sim card and this treo 650 does not. Is there any thing I could do to solve this problem?

Palm treo 650

The 650 seems to have a delicate headphone/mic jack. Dropping the phone, even gently, seems mess up that jack. I returned my first treo 650 as defective, and got a new one. The same thing happened to my new 650 after I simply compressed the phone in my breast coat pocket by holding my mail against my chest.

I can't get a new one because the replacement treo comes with no warranty of any kind. :(

My advice would be to find a PDA/phone repair service to repair the jack or diagnose the problem if it turns out not to be the jack.

Could you inform us which treo do you use? If you use Treo 650 or newer, than you could buy desktop charger beside ordinary palm charger. But if you use Treo 600 there's no alternative than buy the ordinary palm charger. It's easy to get this accessories on the net, you could try MyTreo.net or TreoCentral.com

Auto-off not working

I heard this happens after updating the Treo 650 with the new version 1.17. Is this your case? If so just remove the new update... Anyway, you can try the soft restart or even Performing a system reset(from the user guide p.170): ".. Performing a soft reset A soft reset is similar to restarting a computer. If your Treo is not responding or you have trouble synchronizing with your computer, a soft reset may help. 1. Press the Battery Door Release button and slide the battery door downward to remove it from your Treo. 2. Use the stylus tip to gently press the reset button on the back of your Treo. .."
