I have the same problem with the same product which actually has been used very little. I have not resolved the problem but the motor which open/closes disc tray seems to be dead as it does not respond at all. I am looking to see if I can get a motor replacement or if I have to replace the whole player component of the unit. Did you resolve the problem with your player?

Remove the 5 screws that hold on black cover. inside there is a white gear that will retract mechanism. Two gold screws on plate that covers dvd need to be removed. lift off cover and remove dvd.

regarding prior post, it is a good idea to have unit unplugged first

Purchase or borrow an imported DVD. The only real reason to make your DVD player region-free is if you plan on watching imported DVDs.

  • 2 Locate your DVD player's brand name and model number. These can usually be found on the box the DVD player came in, or on a sticker close to the video inputs or on the bottom of the DVD player
  • 3 Have your remote handy. You will need your remote to enter the input codes into your DVD player.
  • 4 Locate a Web site that can help you with the codes you need for your particular DVD player, since all DVD players have different codes. Try DVD Exploder or Video Help (see Resources below). Both have an extensive list of codes for almost every kind of DVD player manufactured.
  • 5 Enter your brand name and model number when prompted to do so on the Web site. If your particular model number is not available, try searching under the brand name. Sometimes you will be able to find a model number that is close to your DVD player's model number.
  • 6 Enter the codes into your DVD player with your remote. Be sure the DVD player's door is open-almost all codes require the door to be open.
  • 7 Test your imported DVD to see if it works, once you have entered your code into the DVD player.

The dvd player plays, there is sound, but there is no picture being transmitted from the video out (yellow plug).

Try to swap the plugs, yellow in red, red in yellow, also try to swap the yellow, and white plugs.

Mitsubishi DD-4030 DVD not engaging. Disk Error,

This could be one of three things

    1. Dirty reader head:- If you not got one, ge a DVD lens cleaner run it 3 or 4 times see what happens

    2. Maybe needs re setting, rather like a PC, unplug, disconect ALL leads leave over night and re connect see, this worked for a friend of mine recently.

    3. The reader that locks onto the digital date is corrupt.....time to buy a new one !!

More expensive to repair than replace

Lost power, need to extract dvd disc

Straighten a paperclip. On the face of most disk players there is a small hole. Push the paper clip into the hole, and the disk tray should release. Pull the tray out to it's full extension. Power being on or off is immaterial. Hope this help.
