Question about Kenmore 44072 Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Washer will not turn on, only beeps.

Hello, We went to start the washer the other day with a full load of clothes and when we pressed the start button or one of the settings like you normally do, all it did was beep. No lights even blinked. We looked in the manual for some kind of solution but with no result. Please help if you can. We checked all the things like the power cord and we turned off the power to it and then back on...only to find the same problem. Thanks in advance. B

I am getting an error it is as follows: finished, spin, and wash lights blinking plus 3 beeps. What does this mean?

Try restarting it, make sure the load isnt to heavy, if that does not help, call a local repair man.

Washer keeps beeping

Hello connie32,

If you haven't tried pull the 120VAC cord to the washer for ten seconds or so and then re-power up this will hard reset the control board. If that doesn't help and you want to continue to troubleshoot I will have you try to get into Service Mode.

Could you confirm if your machine is a FAV6800AW or FAV9800AW. That would help me with further troubleshooting. I'm an FAV6800AW owner.

The wash beeps all the time

To stop the flashing and beeping, the customer may touch the Pause Cancel button. The error code remains stored in the control but once the problem is corrected, it does not effect the operation of the washer. If the failure is something that the customer can correct (such as the water faucets being turned off), the washer will operate normally the next time it is started.
