The code that the car stereo AV center is looking for is a 4-digit security code that is programmed into your system during the installation process. This code is generally needed when one of the following issues occurs on the car stereo:

• the AV center was reset.
• the screen locks up on the unit.

If you purchased the vehicle from an individual, contact the seller of the car to see if they can give you the code. If you had your AV center professionally installed, we recommend that you contact the installer to see if they are able to provide you with the code.

Try entering code "5415" with your remote to unlock this radio.

Hi, thanks for posting you comment..

Sound coming out from FM and not from CD player or any other source,can not be from the connection that is if the connection is rightly connected...

You might need to check the settings of the Sony XAV-60 Car Video Player manual if there are correctly connected..

To check it, you might need to use the manual for help..

try cd/dvd cleaning lens kit of your XAV-A1. if still it doesn't work, try opening you XAV-A1 and clean it with a cotton buds with a cleaning solution from the cleaning lens kit. if still it doesn't work, have it change a new lens from a certified technician.

Security Code: This unit has a 4-digit security code function to discourage theft. Once the security function is activated, you need to enter the security code to turn on the unit after reinstalling the unit in another car or charging the battery
