Track Count One of my zen xtras running ver 1.20 firmware, will not show a track count above 7925,which mean that when you select play any track, it won't select anytrack above this number which is anything above O in my library of 12,847 titles. It does show them all on the computer and they do play and the zen sees them in the 'about" folder, the disk was upgraded to 80g fine no problem, you cannot also add them to a playlist. My other player the wife uses seems to have the same problem but is running the play for sure firm ware ver 2.10, and the disk has not been upgraded. so I'm at a lost as to what is going on. Any ideas please. Have already unistalled and reinstalled the firmware and the library to no avail. Many thanks

Try to get rid of some of the tag data on the mp3s on your Zen like year, ratings etc. that might help. After that see if there are more tracks now. Also there may be a way you are adding the music somehow wrong. I have a 120G drive in mine I hope I can get more than 8000 tracks on mine. Good Luck

I own a technics CD changer Model SL-PD 787. The system powers up showing the disc & track no. but the timer does not count down . and therefore does not play. How can I fix the problem.

Actually it's the other way around. Playback makes the counter move. Did you hit PLAY or try to seek to a track or anything to verify it 'likes' the disc?

Format error, and can't view playlists- I am on OSX 10.4.11. When I load mp3s onto the player, that have been imported into itunes (dragged them over via the Finder), I get two files for each song. The...

I don't have a solution -- but I have the same problem and this is the first I've found mention of someone else having it. I'm Mac OS 10.6.5. I thought I could go through and just delete the second copies of everything, but I can't figure out how to do that either. They don't show up when it's plugged into the computer. And as far as I can tell, you have to be playing a song in order to delete it, and it can't play things in the wrong format. Beating my head against the wall and starting to look at buying something else... In case you found a solution elsewhere, please let me know!

All I want is a page count. I'm trying to keep track of how many pages are run through this printer over the course of a month and I can't figure out how to get a page count.

Press and hold the "Go" button until the green and orange light flash together, then release. The Configuration page that prints will have the total page count on it.

How to record with a tascam DP-02CF? The manual assumes that you have used one before.

You need to first plug a mic (or guitar) into an input. Then you have to assign that input (A or B) to a track. You do this by selecting the input (pressing the input's assign button) and then selecting the track (pushing the tracks select/rec button) above the track. The track select button will light green when you press the input assign button of the input assigned to it to show where the input is assigned. (To unassign the input simply press the lit track select button again while the input assign button is pressed).

Then you have to select the track for recording. Simply press the rec button above the track alone and it will light red and stay lit. Now press the play and record buttons and you'll be recording.

Hope this helps.

Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen Extra firmware problems on Windows Vista

Find an XP computer with WIndows Media 10 only nothing higher. If you can't find a computer like that uninstall any WMP newer than WMP 10 and then reinstall WMP 10. There is a bug in WMP 11 and its just best to avoid this until you have upgraded your firmaware to 2.x. If you don't have the newer firmware 2.x download it. Now click on the firmware  program then on your Zen Xtra select Load OS when prompt to connect the USB cable going to your computer. It should see your Zen now and should pop up that stupid window that you need to scroll at the bottom and click agree to get rid of then your Zen should reboot a few times don't touch it!! It will tell you when its done. If you can't get it to see your Zen try plugging and unplugging the USB cable. The best way is to do a fresh install of Window XP SP1 and install noting but WMP 10. You also can d/l the 1.x firmware then load it then load firmware 2.x then just agree with everything and it should work. I have upgraded and updated 6 of these Zen Xtras. Anyone that want a 120G Zen Xtra I am on Ebay: cheap-xbox-drives
I also can do upgrades to your existing Zen Xtras Players.
