I cant figure out how to put music on my SanDisk Sansa C240 1GB MP3 Player.i know there should be a music folder that you drag and drop the songs in but i cant find that folder
After hooking up the device to your USB, open my computer and you should see something like removable drive E or some thing like that. Double click on that device and drop your songs in there and give a try. Some of these devices do not come with a default music folder created already. You have the option of creating one if you wish just like on your hard drive. Or just drop them into the device it's self.

1. First, you have songs saving in your computer.
2. You have 2 ways to put music on the Sandisk Sansa Clip:
2.1. Plug device into computer, Drag and Drop music from your computer into "Music" folder of the Sandisk Sansa Clip.
2.2. Use Windows Media Player in your computer to transfer songs to your device; Plug device to computer, open Windows Media Player, click on Sync tab, drag and drop music into "Drag items here " on the right side of the windows media player, click on Start Sync button.
Good luck
1. Free a USB port on your desktop computer. Now, grab the USB cable for your SanDisk Sansa MP3 player and connect the player to your computer. 2. Wait for your computer to find and recognize the player. This may take a few moments. Once you receive a confirmation message, open your computer and scan the icons for the SanDisk MP3 player. 3. Open the SanDisk Sansa MP3 player on your computer. The music files that you currently have saved to the player?s memory are displayed. 4. Open a folder containing music files that is stored in your desktop computer?s memory. Scan the files for songs that you want to transfer to the SanDisk Sansa MP3 player. 5. Left-click on a song file and drag to the SanDisk Sansa window. Drop the file and let your computer complete the transfer. The transferred file appears at the bottom of your music list. 6. Unplug your SanDisk Sansa player from your computer. Turn the player on and allow the file transfer to update to the internal memory of the MP3 player.
Use Windows Media Player to transfer the songs downloaded from Limewire to your Sansa. The first time you open Windows Media Player, it will search the "My Music" folder for songs - this may take a few minutes. Mkae sure you have Windows Media Player 10 or 11. You can either move or copy the Limewire songs to the folder called "My Music," or go into Windows Media Player and change Windows Media Player's configuration so that it can read the Limewire downloads folder.
To get songs off of mine, I went to my computer, and then to Sansa e250R (though your numbers may be different), then to music, and I just deleted what i wanted to get rid of. Im not sure, but this may only work if you're in PlaysForSure mode, which is changed on the mp3 player itself. Also, it leftempty artist folders on my Sansa, and I'm not sure how to get rid of those.
Have you gone to the mp3 player in my computer?
windown media player doesnt normaly put them into the music folder it usually just puts them on them front page.
If they are there try putting them into the music folder, and that should work.
-Plug in your mp3 player -Go into 'Limewire', select a song and go 'Locate file/Open Containg Folder', you should be in your folder with all your songs. or go 'My Music' and find your music files. -Either select all your songs, open them with 'Windows Media Player' and transfer them that way. -Or 'Open My Computer' then open 'Sansa e200' and drag the songs from where your songs are located [My Music] to the 'Music' folder in your Sansa e200 folder. [MyMusic] Song.mp3 >drag to> [MyComputer/Sansa] Music.
You cannot use Itunes for anything except an Ipod device. And any files you get from the Itunes or Rhapsody for example are copy protected and require specific software to copy to an MP3 player.
If your songs are in MP3 format (not downloaded from Itunes or another subscription site) then you can set your Sansa to "MSC" mode which makes it act like a flash drive. Then you can just drag files to the "MUSIC" folder on the sansa.
If this is on an Apple computer things are different - if you are let us know.
go to computer than click on Sansa e260 - Click on PPI NAND - Click on PLAYLISTS - Create a new FOLDER - Give your playlist a name - than put the music in it.
