I chose to utilize Palm Support ($25.00 fee) to correct a problem of my calendar data being deleted. I paid the fee, they corrected the problem, and all was well for a month...then one day my calendar data was gone. I contacted Palm Support and explained I was having the same problem; my calendar was void of all data. Since I was calling just after the warranty period I received with my first payment (28+ days or so), I had to pay another $25.00 fee. Well, it's been another month and my calendar is again void of all data. Their 'fix' is causting me too munch. Does anyone know how to undo the Palm Support 'help' I have received? Thank you.
SOURCE: Corrupt Date Book Fixed
Updated Instructions Simple fix for a corrupted Date Book sync error (at least it worked for me on my Treo 650). 1). Turn off 'Show Calendar Event' in the Phones 'Options - General Preferences' menu. 2). Turn off phone. 3). Set the Date/Time to the maximum limits (12/31/31) in Preferences. 4). Open the Calendar and view the maximum day 12/31/31. 5). Select 'Purge - (Delete events older then 1 week)' in the Calendars Options menu. 6). Reset the Date/Time to the current day in Preferences. 7). Hotsync (Desktop Calendar overwrites handheld). 8). Hotsync again to make sure you don’t get the error (Synchronize the files). That’s it. =============================== Outlook Calendar The attempt to open the database failed. Date Book application database is not found. Please invoke the Date Book application on the handheld once and re-synchronize. I was having a similar problem with my M515. I had originally installed the Palm Desktop from my CD, which was an older version. When I totally uninstalled the old version and installed the newer version from the Palm website I was able to do a successful sync. I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate and Palm Desktop version 4.1.4

SOURCE: How do I make a hard reset on my Palm Zire 31 PDA?
There is a reset pin hole on the back of the unit; Hold the power button and push the reset button in the hole with a paperclip. All memory should now be erased.
