SOURCE: RCA RT2600 sound problems

You should first try unplugging it for 30 minutes and that should reset it and has fixed the problem on other ones before.

Also, do the speakers hum at all or is it dead silence?

Thank you for further comments to my question.

Have a Good Day.

SOURCE: digital or analog tuner

Your set has a NTSC tuner for the over air broadcasts. You will need a converter box if you wish to use an antenna. If you have cable or satellite, you are fine.

SOURCE: Can I hook up my PS3 to the RCA rs 2030 for audio

Unfortunately, I do not believe so. The Optical port on that machine is for Output only, not input.

Do I need to use an optical fiber cable to hook up a Norcent DVD player with 4 speakers? I am using RCA jacks and get beautiful background sound, but no actual speaking sounds. Thanks!

DVD players normally don't have amps built into them. If you need to connect the DVD to amp (AV) then it will need to be connected either via an RF lead connected via RCA sockets marked RF OUT on the DVD player and one on the AV marked RF IN. If the AV has an optical in, then you can connect the DVD to that for better quality sound. You might also need to change the sound output settings on the DVD player to the correct one you are using.
Missing speaking sounds are the result of a lack of a centre channel speaker. If your AV doesn't have one. Then you will have to use the stereo only setting.
If the DVD player is only currently connected via the standard RCA left and right jacks, you will only get stereo sound.

Having problems connecting using RCA cables (TV to Sound Bar) - No sound on Sound Bar

I assume by using your phone (cable rca to mini jack) the sounbar functions normal. Next time give more info like tv and soundbar make and model no and what connections are available on both components and if its input or output connections.

On the tv make sure the rca cable (tv to soundbar) is plug into the stereo output of the tv and not in a av input. Some tv's have a mini jack out and not rca. Some have a earphone socket which could also be used.

Some tv's only have a digital or optical output port. Iin basic sound work and can be connected with the following combinations .

Minijack to minijack
Minijack to rca
rca to rca
digital to digital
optical to optical

How should you connect your CD player to your av amp (both Technics) using an fibre optical cable?

It sounds like your CD player does not have an optical audio output. If so, you will need to get a "Digital to Analog Audio Converter". You can find them on eBay or Amazon for as little as $10. Connect your CD player's analog/RCA-style stereo cables to the converter. Then connect the converter to your receiver with a single optical cable. 6_20_2016_11_27_39_am.png

Hi.How can I connect SHARP HT-SB400 sound bar system to TV SAMSUNG UE40C6000 LED? I have RCA cable supplied by sharp, it's that possible? My SAMSUNG operation system is : T-VAL6DEUC-1016.0

You should be able to connect these but you'll need some extra adapters/converters/cables. The Sharp HT-SB400 has analog audio inputs (http://www.sharp.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/gb/hs.xsl/-/html/product-details.htm?product=HTSB400&cat=10500 ). The Samsung UE40C6000 LED TV has a digital (optical) output and a headphone jack (http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UE40C6000RKXXU-spec ).

With a RCA (F/F) to 3.5 mm (M) adapter, you may be able to connect the headphone audio out to your sound bar directly. This is an example: http://www.cyberguys.com/product-details/?productid=4730 . I'm not sure if this will automatically disable the TV speakers.

The other option is to get a digital audio to analog audio converter. One of these is http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Audio-Analog-Converter/dp/B0013LWK3A . You'll also need the optical digital cable in addition to the RCA audio cable that you have. With this you'll have to follow the manual for turning on the digital audio output on the TV (under the Sound menu) and turn off the TV speakers.

I hope this helps.

Can you hook the vizio sound bar to an av receiver for use with all devices hooked to the receiver thru HDMI?

Why not ? It doesn't know what the source at the other end of that RCA or digital cable is.

Picking the VSB200 as an example.

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Vizio-VSB200-Speakers-manual/id/23494ag923/t/2/

The manual shows connections to just about anything.

Not knowing anything about YOUR receiver, you MIGHT be able to draw digital audio out somewhere. Analog audio would be available at any Tape Output. Your receiver

How do I connect my Panasonic SC-HTB500 sound bsr to my Panasonic TH-42PX75U television with an HDMI cable?

If you have a set top box (blu-ray, dvd, cable) with HDMI Out, then you need a pair of HDMI cables. Connect one from the HDMI Out of the set top box to the HDMI In of the sound bar. Then connect the HDMI Out of the sound bar to the HDMI In of the TV.

If you only want to use the sound bar as an external speaker system for the TV, then you should get a digital audio cable (fiber optic cable). Connect this to the Digital Audio Out on the TV (below HDMI ports) and to the Digital Audio In of the sound bar.

I hope this helps. You can find the manual of the TV here: http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Televisions/Plasma-TVs/model.TH-42PX75U . The TV also has analog (RCA) audio out jacks labeled Prog Out on the bottom left of the connection panel; the sound bar however doesn't have RCA audio in jacks.

Cindy Wells
(since there are no HDMI out jacks on the TV, there is no other way to connect the sound bar.)

I have a Marantz 7.1 AV receiver (sr5500) and I run a 5.1 set up for home theatre and use the 2 extra channels to run a pair of outdoor stereo speakers... When I first set it up I also found I could not get a digital signal output, only analog, after reading the manual(!) I discovered that it can only output an analog signal...so I have used the phono outputs on my blu-ray player into the CD input of the AV amp and play CDs outside through this and it also outputs the optical digital signal into the AV amp through the DVD input...my iPod also plays through a dock and it's analog output to the speakers outside through another (CD-R) anolog input on the amp... I am attempting to attach a Samsung Sound Bar to my 42 inch LCD 1080P Polaroid Television. I can not seem to get sound from the Television connected to the Sound Bar. Thoughts?

Connect the audio out RCA jacks (white and red) on the TV to the white and red RCA input jacks on the sound bar for analog stereo sound or connect the black digital audio output jack (typically optical) on the TV rear panel to the sound bar's optical digital audio input jack for surround sound. Use an optical cable. There may be some user settings on the TV for audio.

Connecting ps3 to cinema system

There is no substitute for HDMI. However, the 'digital in' cable connection that you want to use is still digital and will sound almost exactly the same. The differences are barely noticeable to the human ear. Here is a list for you to see the pecking order of each type of connection.

Audio connections from best to least go in this order:
1. HDMI (digital)
2. Fiber optic (digital)
3. Coax - Digital (digital) <--- The one you want to use.
4. Component (analog)
5. RCA/AV (analog)

Video connections from best to least go in this order:
1. HDMI (full HD digital)
2. Component (Blue, green, red, white, red - HD analog)
3. S-Video
4. RCA/AV (Yellow, white, red)

Good luck!!
