Jvc av-27cm3 can't figure out how to use function button

When I shifted my tv while it was on, I hit the buttons on the front of it and it switched from channel to cable. I have an antenna so now all I get is snow. My universal remote doesn't allow me to get into the programming on the tv and I can't figure out how to use the function button on the front of it to try and fix this. My remote is a jvc mbr and has Time Scan printed on it.

There is no specific "remote code" as such for a TV. A universal remote control will come with a set of codes for you to try, and the control manufacturer makes up these codes. If none of the listed codes work for a particular brand, the remote normally will have a code-search feature so you can hunt for the one you need. If the trouble is that you have a universal remote and no instruction sheet, you can try to find it online, or just buy a new control. They are inexpensive.

Hello
Closed Caption function is set to On in your JVC. look if there any button marked as "CC" on its remote control. If it is there, hit it till the closed caption function go off from your tv screen. If there is no such button found, get into its menu option, surf through, and get in to the closed caption option, set the close caption function OFF in that window. OK.

Sounds like one of the front panel buttons is jammed. press each one and see if any fail to "rebound" or feel different from the rest. You can usually work the button in a 'circular motion" to release it. If the buttons seem normal , it's possible that the switch inside the TV has collapsed

Can't play dvd player on JVC tv; I don't have a JVC remote.

I hooked up a Pioneer DVD player to my TV and when I play a DVD the volume cannot be controlled by the TV. It just plays at one level and on the louder side. When I'm watching regular TV and the DVD player is on and playing a disc I start to hear the DVD soundtrack at the same time as the whatever I'm watching on TV. I should not be able to hear anything until I switch over to Video 1. Any suggestions?

Probably the text box for closed captioning. Turn off the closed captioning and see if it goes away. If not, then, try setting everything back to the factory presets. Your manual will tell you how.

The input button

On some sets you can use the menu button to enter the menu and navigate to the page which shows what input is currently selected and change it there. If your set does not have that option, then you will need the remote to do it. I have found that on some universal remotes, the TV/VCR button switches the inputs on the TV when the remote is in the TV mode. If that button does not work on your remote for your set, and you have tried all possible codes for JVC TVs, then the only way to switch inputs is to invest a few dollars more and get an original remote from JVC or have the set repaired so that the input button on the TV functions again.
