Won't power on

My printer worked fine and then one day it wouldn't power on. I figured it would be expensive to fix so I bought a used replacement on eBay. Got it and it wouldn't turn on. I played around switching the power cords between the two and then one went on briefly and then nothing. I just got another used one and it worked great (my old power cord). Now it won't turn on either! Any ideas???????? Thanks!!!

I can't stop buying this printer because I can stick it in a bag and travel with it! And it worked great for a few years. And I loved it!

The power cord is plugged into a surge protected strip and I have my laptop, Palm Pilot and other stuff plugged in and they are fine. I have tried other outlets and nothing. They checked the power cord at Best Buy and said it looked fine. I think I might have some sort of power cord from Radio Shack with adaptors and I have to find it and make sure it won't fry it before I try it. I was thinking there must be a "reset" or something or that I could "Google" and find someone who has come across this before. That was after the first one, but now I am on number THREE!

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, Stop buying this printer. I doesn't work. You think it might have anything to do with the outlet you are using. I'm thinking some type of power surge or short hit all three printers with the same outlet. Did you plug all three in the same outlet "first thing" when you got the printers home? Are you using a power strip? I find that kind of strange for all three having the same problem. How long did the last printer you bought work? You said it worked great with the old power cord. Plug something else in the outlet like a lamp and see if the cord gets hot. I know that doesn't sound much like a solution but you gotta try something. Printers are getting expensive. Let me know what you did. I'd like to get to the core of this problem.
