I'm having problems keeping my TomTom charged. I had it charging most of the night and only have one bar on the battery. Does the battery come out of the unit?
My 910 worked grearn up my untill the dock would burn up my unit. I was told to send the unit back to tomtom, that they would look into the problem. I did as they asked sent the unit into them, about 6 weeks later,They (Tomtom) sent me a differnt unit, (refurbished) which was fine except for the fact that they didn't send me the window dock (which was promised to me) because they had a known problem with the mounts. now my 910 I have doesn't work. I sent them numerious letters, explaining my problem to them, Just as before, Their customers service department,has done a poor job, in assisting me in this matter. I have e-mails where they have promised me another replacement dock, dating back to feb of 2007. Now what? I paid a lot of money for their product. Have same thing. I did call Tomtom and they are guessing ,just like me ,that battery is dead and offered me US$ 75 off brand new go 730 and old one u can keep. Was told ,they dont sell battery replacement .
Sounds like someone will sue their **** soon as class action .
This is a common problem with the 910. Try putting an obstacle in the way of the wire to keep it on. Better still is to not use the home dock at all. Just plug the home charger in to the windscreen mount (device connected of course!) and charge it that way. You get a better charge and it will stay on.
