How do i use my acer 7110 webcak to make video

My acer 7110 has a built in webcan wich only takes still shots. How do i make it capture video??? For im or my files

If you have the cam software poping up when you start the web cam, there is a box below where your image shows with two tabs, one for a still photo and one for video, click the video tab and then click record, the files will then be saved by default, pics in my pictures, videos in my videos.

To record a video, you must have a software that can do so.
If you go to http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=52 and go under the "Applications" tab, you will see "Acer WebCam Application". Download one of those and install it and look for a record option. If that is not available, you can always use an application that is not built by Acer. Examples of those free applications are listed here: http://download.cnet.com/windows/video-capture-software/?filter=licenseName%3D%22Free%22'&filterName=licenseName%3DFree'&tag=narrow

I need to make videos on my acer!!!??
Capturing video on Acer notebook with Crystal Eye software on Windows Vista UPDATED It seems like a lot of people are having trouble with figuring out how to capture video with their built-in webcam on their Acer laptop. There is not capture video function in the Crystal Eye software that is preinstalled with the computer. Windows movie maker 6.0 no longer have the capture video feature on Windows Vista. I’ve read a couple of ways to actually capture video, but only one way worked for me so I will post that method.
For some reason, Acer hid the capture video function and it is buried deep in the Windows directory.
Go to your root directory (C:\ drive in most case), then open up the Windows folder, scroll down to the folder “SUYIN NB Cam”, open that up and you should see the file “Live Cam”. This program can do video capture. Make a shortcut to your desktop for easy access. Open it up and play with it a little and you should be able to capture video with it.

UPDATE: Some commented on the audio not working. If you have your sound driver installed correctly, try the following: Go “Devices” and select the microphone. For me, it says “Microphone (Realtek High Definition)” and this should give you audio. If this is checked, then that means your microphone is in use and you should be able to record sound.

if your system did not come with one
the built in webcam is exactly that for messaging programs and taking snaps but they can be used for video and this is usually something you need to get on your own

I need drivers for my Acer Aspire 7110 Notebook
Hi ,go to the acer site...http://support.acer-euro.com/ and click on driver downloads,then in the acer notebook section click the acer aspire down tab ,then look for 7110 and click on that .This will take you to the drivers page then pick what you need and save to the pc you are using .Hope this helps.

How to record a webcam video
I do not the original software from the camera, but you can use VLC, wich is open source and free, and it works great. You can download it here

After you install it, run it.

Select File, and then "open capture device".

In "Video device name", select your webcam. In the same screen but lower, checkmark "stream/save" and click on "settings".

That will open another window, checkmark "file" and type a file name.

Click ok on both windows and start recording

The best solution: Buy a good computer with a webcam or a simple webcam. The best thing to do is not to buy the Acer 5315-2326
