I just reformatted my computer (this happens everytime) and my wireless card is jsut plugged in right? So i install the new drivers for it and it doesn't work. I got to the zyxel website to get the hopefully updated drivers and guess what? It doesn't work. I've tried un-installing, re-installing, searching for new hardware from the control panel and nothing seems to work. i forget what i did last time because that was such a long time ago. Can you guys please help me? So now, i have been sitting without internet for like 3 days; waiting for my account to be validated on the zyxel forums. Right now i'm using my friends computer to get on the internet. I'm pretty advanced so I know my way around the computer. If it makes a diffrence i'm using Windows XP Home SP2
I fixed the problem! thank you for your help. I also switched the pcmcia ports so i think that must have been a problem as well. Re:
Have you tried enabling the Wireless Zero service?
In Control Panel/Admin Tools/Services, scroll down to Wireless Zero and enable it.
Some cards use their own interface, some use Wireless Zero.
Do you have Wireless Icon showing in the System Tray? You should be able to access the settings by Right-clicking this icon.

The driver can be found in the link below. Download it, run it, and you should be fine. There are some other things there too like some software and a user manual.
and download the drivers. In the right side of this webpage you can choose what kind of hardware you have (in your case Product/ wifi). There are two versions for your wifi
-Download and install. You can save the driver in case you want to use your wireless card with a different computer
I'm NOT a Windows guru, but I think this is an issue with Windows, not your Zyxel driver.
There is a setting somewhere in the network area of Windows that tells it to automatically connect to a known favorite network if that network appears. I suspect you just have to find that setting, turn it on, and make sure the network you use is in your list of favorites.
Is your New computer 64 or 32 bit OS? Dowload the right driver for your adapter by going to zyxel.com, I doubt they have for windows 7 yet so just download Vista version
Why do you require a wireless connection on the computer, when it is already connected to the router through ethernet cable? Disable the wireless connection permanently & try.
have you tried it with another card? If so then your problem is the zyxel card which I would say stop using. The fact is Zyxel does not make these things they roll off lots of these cards in China and Taiwan and companies put their brands on them, so you are never quite sure of the quality. and yes this is with the majority of these cards. Some companies have better quality control then others and some don't I would say to return this card and exchange it for another one. You might get one that works. That's all I have to say.
Rich, go into control panel|system|hardware|device manager and select your card. Right mouse click | update driver. Try to have windows do it..if not point the installer to the setup disk.
