When we watch football, we can't hear the refs on the field. Also during halftime we can't hear the music. Some random things get cut out.

Do you have a center channel speaker hooked up? Most voices come through the center channel. I would imagine the surround processor would put the refs on the center channel.

Check your center channel. Most dialogue is routed to the center channel in surround.

After a storm, i had to reset my modem, but although all proper lights light up on router, there is no corded or wireless signal coming through it

Hi dsetzhsd

This is a normal reaction to a power surge or power cut which if severe, can easily damage computer equipment

Turn the (Router/)Modem off with its on/off switch or at the mains, then power it up again. If it has not been damaged, it should reset itself and then sequence itself through the lights. Each light represents the successful restoration of various functions, including Power (shows its powered up), LAN/WAN (shows it has re-established its link with the Network), Wireless (shows it has resumed creating a Wireless Field and broadcasting a Wireless Signal from it), Broadband (shows it has reconnected itself to the Broadband signal coming from your Internet Service Provider[ISP]), Internet (shows that it has reconnected to the internet), plus a light for each occupied channel with an active Device attached to it.

Since storms and power surges and power cuts can damage electrical equipment (especially computer equipment), for the future, (if you haven't already done so) ensure that all your computer equipment has Surge Suppressors/Surge Protectors between each item and the mains electricity. Good quality Surge Suppressor/Surge Protector manufacturers offer insurance type protection against damage if equipment is damaged while connected to their products. See examples here:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_4_8?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=surge+suppressor+power+strip&sprefix=surge+su

The ultimate protection, if you live in an area susceptible to storms (and you don't already have one), is an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) between the Surge Suppressor/Surge Protector and the Mains wall socket. This acts like a fast-acting automatic standby generator during a power cut, providing continued power to valuable equipment after the power cut, giving the user 5-30 minutes (depending on price level and model selected) in which to safely shut everything down properly until mains power is restored. See some examples here:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_4_8?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=surge+suppressor+power+strip&sprefix=surge+su#/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_28?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=uninterruptible+power+supply&sprefix=uninterruptible+power+supply&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Auninterruptible+power+supply

I hope this helps.

Why isn't my Celestron PowerSeeker 60AZ #21041 showing anything during the night but it works great during the day time... but it doesn't let me see but like two football field lengths away... i have done...

Objects in the night sky are tiny-- smaller than the tip of your finger held at arms lebgth. Your scope must be pointed directly at them or you will see nothing.

Speakers cut out randomly

The only thing i can think of is the amount of power surging into the speakers is too great and they are cutting of to avoid blowing out. I have a similar issue with my surround sound if i turn it up too loud.
