I cant get internet from my rouder

Do you mean router? Usually if you need to connect a router your telecom company will have an internet help line and they will talk you through it.

oh well first you will need to test a connection at your house, then if it doesnt work you will need to get closer to you rouder.(one MAYBE like cisco or other that connect from the big box). you will need to get those if you want to play on your dsixl. i got my rouder for about 100 bucks. good luck

Your wireless card in her laptop needs to be configured with the router's wireless settings eg. the SSID and encryption key
The encryption key (pin or security key) is in your wireless router, without this key the wireless router won't allow the laptop to connect to this wireless router.
The WEP, WPA, WPA2 encryption key is in your router's wireless settings. Log into your router and got to the wireless settings, you will need to get the SSID and the encryption key. Then go to your laptop's wireless card and configure it with the router's SSID and encryption key, so it will then connect to the wireless router and the Internet.

If you don't know the password, then you need to reset the router,
Hold it down the reset button with the help of a pen point and power cycle your router. Then re-do the configuration following the manufacturer's instructions. Then you can set password for your router.

Try using the MAC address of the ethernet adapter and clone it to your router. Your ISP might be recognizing the MAC address of the LAN card of the computer.

To get the mac address of the computer go to the command prompt and type ipconfig/all.

You may also need to contact your ISP to clear arp in their end, so that they will detect that you have a router. I hope this helps!

I would recommend upgrading the router firmware, if you have not done this already.

You can buy a wireless access point to plug into your router. The thing is, you can buy a new router with wireless built in for about the same price. It's up to you to shop and compare.

In either case, you will need to configure the wireless, and create a WEP key to share with the wireless in the computer(s). The new wireless will come with instructions.
