I have an RCA H100 and it turns on and everything but when i plug in the headphones in i cant hear anything will somebody PLEASE help me?
Starting point needs to be to find out whether the problem is with your headphones, or with the player. See if you can borrow someone else's player for five minutes, swap the headphones over, then see which one works. If the problem moves to the borrowed player, buy yourself a new set of headphones (although it's usually possible to repair them, the quality of repair is rarely worth the effort). If the fault stays with your player, first check all your settings to make sure you haven't "told" the machine to make no noise. Once convinced it's actually broken, you have the choice of taking it to get it fixed, or opening it up to see if you can see anything obviously wrong. Realistically, any inspection you can do once in is likely to be confined to checking the headphone socket and its connection to the board for damage. If you do decide to open the thing up, make sure all your music is backed up somewhere else first. A.
