Question about RCA 27V520T 27" TV
27"RCA mod.27R410T Lighting ran in on the tv . I took the back off (after 24 hrs.) to look for a reset but didn"t see one.Are there any way to fix this myself ? If not is it worth takeing it to the shop or get another one (price and trouble)its 4 yrs. old. thanks very much ,Mike in kershaw S.C.
Sets that have been hit by lightning can be very tricky to repair sometimes. it could be as simple as a shorted bridge rectifier, a current limiting resistor, or maybe an open PC trace on the board. I have seen some sets hit by lightning that took out almost every IC, tuner, several resistors, and burned several PC traces up. This repair will be up to you, if you want to spend the estimate fee, as it is highly possible that this set will not be worth the repair. Good Luck
