Question about Indesit 24 in. IDL700 Built-In Dishwasher

1 Answer

INDESIT IDL705 machine stopped before draining and has not made any attempt since. initially displayed the 2 far left phase lights flashing. I managed to get rid of them by resetting & turning off & on a few times. it makes the right buzzing sounds now regarding pressing reset and no flashing lights but doesn't action anything at all.

My washing machine will not turn on.

I suggest you rapid reading of alarms.
  • Press the START/PAUSE button and the nearest option button simultaneously for at least 2 seconds: the LEDs initially switch off, and then display the flashing sequence indicating the last alarm.
  • To display the previous alarms, press the button to the left of the START/PAUSE button in sequence.
  • To return to the last alarm, press the START/PAUSE button.
  • The alarm continues to be displayed for the amount of time required, and then the display returns to its normal operation.
  • While the alarm is being displayed, the appliance continues to perform the cycle or, if in the programme selection phase, it maintains the previously selected options in memory.

Indesit IDl705 flashing lights 1+2 during heating cycle and will not carry on. Have checked pump and all is fine, also checked float device.

If a machine cant do what its trying to do then it wont carry on. It will just sit there.
If its doing this while its supposed to be heating then my money is on the heater being at fault.

Machine stopped mid cycle and green light flashing under green start button

Many modern washing machines display error codes if they detect a fault, but not all washing machines display a readable error code, some indicate an error by flashing, or lighting some of the lights.

Hotpoint, Indesit, Zanussi error codes

Hotpoint, Indesit washing machines and Zanussi washing machines are some common appliances that display coded error codes. On their more expensive models, they display readable error codes but basic models (without digital displays) use flashing lights to convey the error fault code.

If your washing machine malfunctions and you can see some of the lights flashing, or one or more option lights have lit up, then make a note of which lights are flashing and which option lights are lit. NOTE: the error code list engineers have only shows the option lights by number and not by name. Therefore you need to report the lights as LED 1 and 3, or 2 and 4 etc. and NOT "delay timer" and "extra rinse". Count the lights from the left (or from the top if in a column) and report as "led 1 and 3" etc.

No Option lights?

With basic washing machines that have no option indicator lights, count the number of flashes. For example, the door locked indicator may flash 7 times, pause, and flash another 7 times in a constant cycle which would indicate error code 7.

This information is vital, and needs mentioning when reporting a fault.

Flashing lights indesit wil103

you will need to unplug the machine at the mains, give it two minutes and the auto door lock will release your duvet, however start saving the pennies as your pcb is knackered and you'll be looking at about £200 to fix it

IDL705 dishwasher showing error code

Indesit IDL700 first two green lights flashing and cycle stops with dirty water left in the machine. CAUSE - blocked or jammed drain pump. SOLUTION - First remove all the filters inside the machine, syphon or sponge up all the water in the sump and check for any obstruction over the fine grill at the very bottom. (we had a pistachio shell covering the hole!). If this doesn't cue it you will need to gain access to the pump. First, turn off the power. Gently lift the machine onto it's side (be ready for some water to spill out!). Remove the bottom plate (6 screws) and disconnect the sump float switch. Remove the single screw retaining the pump to the bottom of the machine and rotate to remove. You should be able to see the rotor blades. With your finger check to see if the pump rotates freely. To dismantle the pump, remove the 3 screws and separate the two halves. Our pump was jammed with an apple stalk!. Reassemble and connect any cables. Apparently this is a known problem with these machines and can be prevented by assembling the filter system correctly and pre-rinsing plates etc. before placing in the dishwasher.

Indesit idl705

this sounds as though it is in "flood mode" and may have a water leak into the base. unplug unit and check for leaks by tipping the dishwasher at a 45degree angle backwards and seeing if any water seeps out from the base. if it does you have a hose/ pump / seal leak.
