Question about Samsung SD 616E (729507925578) Internal DVD Drive
I have a dell computer dimension 8300 with a Samsung Sd 616e internal dvd. When I install a dvd nothing happens. If I install an audio cd it plays. I have blown air thru the dvd , used a cleaner disc to to the lens and I have uninstalled and re installed the drivers several times. Also when I troubleshoot this Samsung dvd unit it comes up stating " unit is working correctly ". What else is there left to do if anything. What could be the problem ?
I could have you try a bunch of stuff and go through a bunch of hoop and hurdles but seeing how cheap DVD drives are today it is just less hassle to just replace it with a new one. Really easy to do. Seeing as how you know how to install and remove drivers and all.
