It sounds as if an internal fuse has failed. You will need a qualified repairman for this, as ther are no user serviceable parts inside, but there are INSTANTLY LETHAL voltages present, even when the unit is off & unplugged.

The cooktop light bulb(s) is(are) located on the underside of the microwave oven, and is(are) replaceable. Remove bulb cover screw, and open the bulb cover. Replace bulb, close bulb cover, and secure with screw. How do I change light bulb under a 2009 ge microwave/model no.lvm1750dm1ww

The range top bulbs can be replaced by removing the screw that holds the glass and frame to the underside of the unit, they swing down, the bulbs usually screw in, the power needs to be turned off by way of unplugging the unit before replacing the bulbs, the interior cavity bulb can be replaced by removing the top grille and accessing the socket assy from the front. Has stopped working. light gone off at same time. plug fuse has not broke. any ideas ?

There is a fuse inside the microwave also.It is a ceramic fuse, usually 15A.It has to be replaced with another ceramic fuse of the same rating.Bear in mind, the fuse blew for a reason,so if it is the interior fuse replace it after a search for a fault.

Have a Whirlpool RMC275PD microwave. Light bulb

no, no, no,,,its far to dangerous for you to open up the case of your microwave to change a light buld,,,
dont even think of going in there,,,
inside your microwave there are 1000,s of volts stored up in a capacitor if you tuch it you could kill yourself
have you ever seen a police stun gun working,,
it realy hurts you,,,,,
inside your microwave is the stun guns big brother
it dont just stun you,, it could kill you,,,
thats why you dont go inside it ok,,,
the light buld can be changed from inside the case normaly if it cant be, then drop it in the shop for a repair or use it with out a light in it,,
dont try and kill yourself just for a light buld

Sounds like the ERC board failed. It maybe covered under warranty, check that first cause a new ERC could cost around $150-$200. Anything electric can cause the .."what the*^&% just happened syndrome.
