Panasonic UF - 560: Comm Journal page does not print

When setting the Comm Journal to On. Fax machine does not save this setting and defaults to Incomplete only. Please advise.

I could not find to the manual for your particular model, however the following should be close enough. Although you have set the Comm Journal to "On" you have to set the paramater to "Always" Download the manual at: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/UF585.PDF Look at page 131. I think that will take care of it. IF NOT - PLEASE let me know before you rate this solution. I will research it further. Ed

Hello,

Sorry but no, the unit does only keep the last 100 journal pages in its transaction log. This usually covers a time span of 2-5 days only on a machine used in a business environment.

its a receiving error code means a computer was trying to fax you and it didnt connect properly

How do I set up the fax to print a confirmation (comm journal) for every fax sent?

Press Function, enter 74 from keypad and hit the middle SET button in circle.
FAX PARAMETER should appear.
Enter number 012 from the keypad, hit SET
The value should be 2 for printing a journal always.
If it's not (default is 3 - only when unsuccessful), then enter 2, hit SET
Press Function again to go out of the menu.
That's it :)

Time and Date
function-7-1-start- adjust the time and date hit start then stop

comm journal
function-7-4-start-1-2-start-2"should say always"-start-stop

your time on incomming fax
function-7-4-start-9-start-2"should say valid"start-stop

sounds like your firmware might be shot and it needs to be reinstalled, if your in canada i can recomend a tech

select always set
if this doesnt work there is somthing wrong with unit

Error Code 406

"XMT/RCV password does not match. Last 4 digits of TSI does not match with the last 4 digits of the ONE TOUCH, ABBR Telephone number." This is straight from the Panasonic service manual. I would suggest looking in the User's manual uner "passwords" and try to either reset or clear out the password info.
