Question about Kodak EasyShare LS753 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Kodak easyshare died suddenly

I have had my camera in my truck, which gets hot in the daytime inside, and now the viewer shows just darkness when I try to take a picture. I push the shutter anyway, but still get a dark viewer screen and no pic. But if I scroll to another picture I took when it worked, the pic is still there. What is wrong with my camera? Thanks.

did you try changing the settings on the dial on the top right of the camera? the dial is for different settings for different types of pictures, you would need to set the camera for daytime pics, sounds like it is set up for nighttime.

Re: Kodak EasyShare C613

HAVE YOU TRIED USING ANY OF THE OTHER SETTINGS ON THE CAMERA IN THE DAYTIME? I.E., LIKE IN MOTION, LOW LIGHT, BEST SETTING, ETC. ARE THEY ALL THE SAME?DO THE LINES SHOW UP ON THE LCD DISPLAY? SOUNDS LIKE A PROBLEM WITH THE DAYLIGHT SENSORS INPUTING BAD INFO TO THE CAMERA. HAVE YOU TRIED THE ALMOST WORTHLESS KODAK CUSTOMER SERVICE WEBSITE? THIS SOUNDS LIKE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR CAMERA THAT IS ONLY HAPPENING DURING DAYLIGHT EXPOSURE.

No Flash function on Kodak Easyshare Z612

To both, I'm afraid you need to send the out camera for repair.

Camera flashes use a capacitor that holds the electric energy for the flash. It takes some time to charge and discharges very rapidly to generate the light pulse. Capacitors are notorious in their reliability. They tend to disconnect and die or short circuit and die.

In camera1234's case it might just died disconnected.

In sheranne case it might died short circuiting. In this case the camera should not be used since the battery might explode.
