When i connect this ipod to anything, absolutleyu nothing happens. When connected to a charger, nothing happens but i know its charging. When connected to computer nothing happens again. I can turn it on and when i do all i get is the stupid sad face with the ipod support web address. It doesn't make any sounds while starting or anything like that. This is not mine and i dont like ipods, its my brothers so im not too familiar with ipods. Please help asap.

Have you tried to do a reset? Toggle the hold button on and then off. Then hold down the menu button and the center button at the same time. hold them until the screen flashes. then release. You may have to try this several times.

Hello Kawase, I would suggest you try charging the unit this one time by connecting it to the computer. I suspect that the charger may be defective if plugging the wall charger into the iPod has no effect on the low battery warning. If the iPod is able to be charged from the USB port on your computer that would tend to confirm that the charger is not working. If the iPod does not charge when connected to either the computer or the wall charger then you may very well have a another defective iPod. Best Regards Ken "Go Ahead. Use Us."
It sounds like the battery is fried. That's the same thing that happened to mine. I had to take it to the Apple store, had them look at it, and they actually exchanged it for a refurbished iPod. There's not much you can do at home, unless you want to order a new battery from Apple. I would still recommend having them install it.
