I have a philips model 60p8341 tv. If you turn off the tv, it will not remember the color settings. Also the processor doesn't work properly. If you press a button on the tv or the remote, it takes the tv a few seconds to react.( press volumne + key, few seconds later the volumne appears on the screen, few seconds later the number goes up one, few seconds later goes up one, etc?) Same reaction with changing channel or menu functions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should not adjust those knobs...Turn them back down - the ones marked "screen"...then power up and turn them up again slowly...if you go too far they will shut off again. Once you get the tubes back on again as normal you can fix the original issue for dull video. Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.
Your convergence board is faulty. Common problem for this model. Pull the back cover off and look to the north and look for a jumper jack [1516 i beleive] and pull this off. [TV unplugged of course] Now plug in the tv and power up...If the picture is distorted you have bad convergence ICs. If picture is good...you may a bad audio IC. You can do this, just be dang careful and good luck to you!
Vertical protection is what the two error code is. You can get a new Vertical output IC at the following link just leave them a email indicating your model number and what youre needing. They respond quickly. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
Your TV needs the part 313501707611 - it's the keyboard that's the cause of your problems - but here's the catch... Philips does not make that part anymore... they say that you need to either find someone to fix the keyboard (which I've had no luck on) or buy a new Television from them... hmm, a $2000.00 TV that needs a $20.00 part now becomes a plant holder in my living room because Philips wants us to purchase a new TV from them.
Short in powersupply check secondary fuse and all other fuses too. Were there a color problem before this/ Because most of these set have convergence problems. The amps May need to be changed and resistors around them.
