If the caps on the DM board are not swollen on the top, they re ok, but if they are replace them.

Mitsubishi sets are notorious for leaking caps. These are the black caps labeled "Nichicon" and sometimes "Rubycon". They are easy to spot because the negative leg has what appears to be dark acid leaking down, the board has a circle of discoloring around the cap and sometimes the copper trace on the other side of the PC board is all black and contaminated. If you know what you are doing, you can remove all of these caps, clean up the board and replace with quality caps, and this usually solves the problem.

Mitsubishi dm baord repair

Repair for the dm board is to replace 30 smd caps. Smd caps are harder to replace than electolytic caps, unless you have great soldering skills, it's easy to break a trace. Might consider just replacing dm board.

We lost power the other night. Now I have a continuous green blinking light and it won't turn on. I have tried everything the manual says.

Try Going To The Mitsubishi Web Site. Downloading The Mitsubishi Service Manuals If You Don't Already Have It. It Will recommend The parts You Need To ordering. Circuit board photos are also shown which provide a visual reference during the repair process.

If you decide to have a service technician do the repair, insist that the "DM" module is removed from the TV and ONLY the four 1000uF, 16V Capacitors (Caps) located on the DM Module are replaced. MOST techincians will INSIST on replacing the entire DM Module and not simply the capacitors. The cost is about $200 for a technician to replace the capacitors and $1000 for replacement of the DM Module. As you will read below, doing the repair yourself will cost less than $4.00 for the 4 Caps.

Need to know where capacitors are on mitsubishi ws 55511 tv are located at have back of tv off and cant locate them please help thanx

they are located inside the DM modules case( Metal Case on far left side ) open the metal case and you will see 7 caps on the DM power board. I am posting a pic of the board with the 7 caps that need replacement use 1000UF 25V caps to replace the 1000UF 16V caps that are currently installed.

Green light flashing on timer. tv wont power up..just bought this house. wtv was left behind. i was told it works but i cant turn it on

Thats a common problem if the sets left unplugged or without power the DM caps drain and then wont charge when the power is restored. Its a easy fix usually just replace the DM caps. You can get the Mitsunbishi repair kit called the WS55859 DM repair kit from which has the upgraded replacement caps and the CD with repair instructions.

I need a dm module \

DM is no longer available from Mitsubishi.

Unit can be removed and sent our for repair----

PTS ELECTRONICS---you will find them on the web and you can call or email for a quote.

Usually there are some caps and or fuses that fail in the DM unit.

Did you try to disconnect front keyboard to make sure it is not the problem?

If this told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this for free.

Flashing power light tv wont come on mitsubishi 1080

If the tv has the continuous flashing led, you have a DM board problem. It is likely bad capacitors in the DM module.. there are 4 of them 1000uf caps that will go bad. They will get a bulging top on them when they go bad. . Mits recommends replacing them with 680uf caps with a comprable or higher voltage rating. The DM module in on the left side of the set (viewed from the back) and is somewhat difficult to remove.

Mitsubishi WS-65513 light blinking

If the light continuously blinks, there are four(4) caps, 10000upf @ 35v that are bad on the DM board. The board is on the right side of the chassis, looking from back, the caps will be swollen on the top. The repair is more cost effective then replacing the board.
