I have a Miele WT2780 where the fan motor stops spinning. This will stop the dryer from working even though the element heats up. The failure of the fan will not blow the air across the heating element and thus into the drum. New motors fitted are around £400 min. I am never going to buy another Miele - mine failed after 6yrs.

Another problem is the thermostat can trip. This is a small button inside the machine (TURN OFF MAINS ELECTRIC AND UNPLUG FROM WALL then remove the lid) on the right hand side of the alloy centre channel at the top. It has two wires connected to the switch and in the centre there is a small black button. Press it firmly and it will heat up again. If this keeps tripping then the air duct could be blocked with fluff. This is my next task as mine now trips more frequently so will post back here with instructions.
Update 12/10/16 - problem returned so dismantled top of air duct having removed the lid - tight torx screws - inside chamber was full of fluff. Removed and cleaned - all good now!.

How did you get the top part of the lid off?

Ive taken the screws off but looks like you need to slide the lid to the right somehow as it looks like its held in place by the base.

    Any help much appreciated.

Same issue for me. I removed the 3 very tight Hex screws but there's just no budging the lid of the air duct.

Keep trying - maybe a flat blade screwdriver and prise it off - it will budge - it is quite strong I know. Once you can break the seal it will be easier

I managed by twisting a large flat screwdriver along the edge of the lid. I removed a small amount of material (gooey limescale) and pressed the reset button. It remains to be seen whether this will prevent the thermostat from tripping again...

I hope you all managed to get inside - once the lid is off you will see exactly why the dryer trips. (unless some other electrical reason)

I see what you mean. Reset the trip switch and managed to slowly prise open the lid. It was rammed full of limescale, fluff and congealed washing powder. Put it back together after a good clean and the dryer is working well again! Thanks Peter!

SOURCE: Miele Washer problem Novotronic Premier

Main wash light flashing is a heating fault. You either have a faulty temp sensor (NTC) or the pressure chamber has blocked and the heater element has popped.

SOURCE: Miele WT945 Washer/Dryer

You can get fluff out by opening the small lower left front panel with the yellow plastic lever/opening tool (on the left hand side of the washing powder draw). Make sure you place an empty container under the tap on the opening panel door to collect the condenser water. Water will flow as soon as you turn the big plastic dial (which holds the fluff). Once water stops flowing, completely unwind, take out the fluff dial, clean and retighten dial back. Close lid and you are set to go!

I've just published some 'Tips' on the WT945's dryer2_bing.gif problems. Apparently they won't appear on fixya.com's Tip List for another 24 hours, so here are the URLs. Hope this helps - Stage 1 is particularly relevant.

I need an instruction manual for an Omega WD 1052 washer, please

I have searched everywhere as well, and no luck. I did find a bit of information on it which I have pasted below -- it might help a bit if you want to play around with it.
I would also suggest reading manuals from other wash/dryer machines to get an idea how they work--then maybe you can figure yours out by just pushing the different buttons and seeing what the display says. (At the end of this post, I have pasted a link to a different Omega washer/dryer -- perhaps you could skim it and see if it is at all similar to yours.)

Information About the Omega WD1052.2 washer dryer
THIRTEEN PROGRAMME:
The WD1052.2 is sequentially segmented into thirteen rotary positions for both easy and logical programme selection and for the quick identification of programme progression.

Choose from one of three wash sequences:
Programmes one through five are for the heavily soiled, more colour fast fabrics and daily wear.

Programmes six through to ten look after the slightly soiled, synthetics and for delicate items.

Woollens are exclusively washed on programmes eleven through to twelve.

CONDENSER DRYING:
The WD1052.2 can automatically dry a half a load of washing at the end of the wash programme provided the half load button is selected and a drying time is set on the centre control dial.

At any time the WD1052.2 can be regarded as an independent dryer, that is, a wash programme does not have to proceed into the drying stage. An example would be drying damp clothing or toweling from the bathroom. Simply choose a STOP position after either 5 or 10 on the programme dial. On the centre dial choose either full heat, the pink zone, or half heat, the green zone.

Another useful variation of the WD1052.2 is the ability to choose final spin only followed automatically by condenser drying. Having completed a hand wash, for instance, simply load the clothing and select final spin, 5 or 10 with the half load button selected and drying time set.

Whenever the WD1052.2 is in the drying mode the load can be easily accessed at any time via the porthole. The drying will automatically resume once the door is reshut.

Not drying

I had the same problem with my dryer.

MAKE SURE THAT POWER IS OFF AND PLUG IS UNPLAGED AT WALL
On the back of the dryer there is a white metal cover in the centre with two philips screws. Once removed you will see metal box which has elements like a toaster built inside it.

You will see two sensors sticking out of top of metal box. The left one is the sensor for safety cut out in event of the dryer sensor on the right stopping working and letting the dryer overheat.

If you disconnect the left sensor 2 crimps and put multimeter on the left sensor two pins and if the meter beeps on continuety the sensor is ok. but if no beep the sensor is bad.

If sensor bad you can tempary bypass the sensor by joining the two cables together and try running dryer on a program and if heats up you know that you need to get new sensor.

WARNING! IF YOU LEAVE THE LEFT SAFETY SENSOR BYPASSED IF THE RIGHT HAND SIDE SENSOR MALFUNCTIONS THE TEMPERATURE WILL RISE AND CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE OR FIRE. THE PURPOSE OF THE RIGHT HAND SENSOR IS WHEN THE DRYER HEATS UP TO HEAT IT CUTS OUT AND WHEN DROPS DOWN IT HEATS UP AGAIN SAME AS AN OVEN.

You can maybe buy sensor from a meile dealer or RS COMPONENTS have the same sensor for £3.35 each.

NOTE: I ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILY FOR DAMAGE OR INJURY IN MY ADVICE FOR REPAIR OF DRYER.

This sounds like a faulty pcb and/or inlet valve. see links for prices.

meatballs77 - If you have warranty (the machine is less than 1 year old which yours is) or paid for extended cover then call hotpoint to replace... Hotpoint should be able to fix this - this should be free. call 0870 4422 510

Rememer parts are free up to five years - but there is a £90 callout fee after the first year.(unless you extend the full warranty)

No heat on tumble dry programme. Display flashed F 13.

You need to replace the heating element for the dryer which is positioned on top of the outer drum. Remove the top cover of the machine and locate the heater.
