I also have the red lines on my JVC aw-56WP74 model TV. I was told if I replaced the red bulb(lens), then I would need to replace all three bulbs together; otherwise, the red would be too powerful for the two older green/blue lens. Thanks for the response.

The tubes rarely fail in this model so it may be a convergence issue instead. Once quick test is to goto your convergence menu and see if you can adjust red and blue. If not its has failed and needs to be fixed. Here is an example video
Guns or CRT are probably ok. Your TV needs a convergence IC STK392-120 replacement. Lamp are used on LCD and DLP rear projection TV's. Color wheel are for DLP's. :)
How to Replace a Tail, Brake or Reverse Light

Fix that broken tail light.
Replacing a dead bulb on your car is almost as easy as replacing a light bulb at home. Perform this simple maintenance and avoid the hassle of receiving a citation for a missing brake light.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){
jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); });
});
Step 1
Determine how the bulb is accessed: On some models the lens (the red or white plastic part over the light) must be unscrewed from the outside, and on others the bulb is accessible only from inside the trunk. If there are no screws on the lens, you can assume that the bulb must be replaced from inside. Usually there will be a plastic cover that must be removed in order to access the bulb. There may be tabs, screws or small knobs that hold this plastic cover in place.
Step 2
Unscrew the lens on the outside, or take off the plastic cover from inside the trunk, to reveal the bulb.
Step 3
Unscrew the bulb. You'll have to push in and turn at the same time.
Step 4
Take the bulb with you to the auto supply store to help you find an exact duplicate.
Step 5
Clean the connection with a wire brush and/or wipe it clean with a rag if there's any corrosion.
Step 6
Screw the new bulb into the empty socket. Again, you'll have to push in and turn simultaneously. Line up the tiny raised bumps on the base of the bulb in order to screw it in.
Step 7
Replace the lens or the plastic cover.
Step 8
Test your work by stepping on the brakes and turning on the headlights while a friend watches the new bulb to make sure it lights up.
Each picture tube (red,green,blue) has a magnifying lens assy that sits on top. On each lens assy is a manual focus adjustment with a wing nut that tightens it. The image bounces onto the mirror and shoots it onto the front screen. If you're not a technician then I don't advise you to do this adjustment. You could touch something in the high voltage by accident.
I have this exact model TV, and my red bulb was the primary culprit. I almost had it, but then a lot of fluid came from underneath the bulb? I had to turn it off in fear of electricution. Ended up selling the TV.
