I sat on my philips hdd6320 by accident and the screen got damaged. it had a black dot right in the middle. however it stilled work so i just ignored the problem. after a month or so the dot started 2 become larger. then 1 day it couldn't switch on and has been broken for about 5 months.

My tv is brand new samsung 32 inches lcd. I accidently press power button several times and now i dont see any red dot. when I use my remote control, i see red dot but thats all
well u have stopped ur movies(dvds) to many times and the dots are burn marks on ur screens if u read ur manual it will tell u NOT to leave a still picture on for to long as it will damage ur screen i assume u have a PLASMA TELEVISION if not... sorry cant help u

Unfortunately i bought a new video card for that computer.
Also verify if memory modules are ok, i mean 1 memory module could be damaged.
If not, with all respect, your video card could be damaged. Verify if video card cooler is ok.
i have the same problem here. i sat down on my camera Doh! It need a new LCD screen, for sur, and i have a line whit a black/purple spot on the LCD. I open my camera and i separate the screen from the other part (white light) and i search instruction to continue the repairing, i can send photos of what it's look like, well im searching further instruction to replace the LCD screen.
Its most likely dead pixels. This generally happens over a course of time. If its not too big that it irritates you, you could possibly let it go. Otherwise, it could call for a service job.
The image processor must be getting old and worn out. Call Epson or go onto their website and see if it is a dDIY project or if you will ned to send it in.
The front main screen polarizer is damaged. Only two options are available for it. 1. Order a replacement panel, which will cost more that what u probably bought the tv for. 2. Buy a new TV.
