My brand new Acer Aspie One Netbook will not power up. I have been working fine. Then lastnight it just wouldn't come on. When I hit the power botton I get a flash from the led's and the power light is on, the fan kicks on running slowly, but that's as fas as it gets.

A netbook brand new? Let me guess, an Acer One Aspire? There is no detail about the devicein question here.
If it's brand new, just return it, warranty. If it's an Acer One, you probably need a patch for the BIOS which by the way, is kin dof hard to get. Search for BIOS patch for XXXX (netbook model)

you need a flash drive fat32 formatted,download the bios update from acer website.copy the flashit.exe & 3114.fd to flash driverename 3114fd to ZG5IA32.FD.insert ur flash drive to the right side usb port. turn on power while holding Fn and Esc key don not release the combination key until u count of 7 sec, when light is on push again the power button then release.it will blink in a minute and the light turn off, don't do anything until it restart. just relax it takes a minute.if you can't download the file e-mail me @ [email protected] luck guys! wait for 7 second to release

please remove the onboard battery for atleasr half of minute then put it back again after format your laptop using operating system intaller then install new system.

It seems that your keyboard is damaged. Don't worry you can use USB keyboard for typing the password.

It means the eject botton is not functioning, maybe the botton is not contacting the appropriate function.
Try and open My Computer or Computer from START botton and then right click on the Disc-R to select eject and you will find it open immediately.

Try resetting the Internet Explorer by going to
Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Reset.

Also check whether the time and date of the computer is correct.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, try a different internet browser.

I would get the battery first. But worst case you have a bad power connection on the board that needs to be resoldered or replaced.

if its brand new I'd suggest contacting Acer, sounds like there is a hardware fault.

push and hold power botton for 10 seconds. First of all when you do get it out of hibernation nerver never never us hibernation again. in fact disable it if you want to loose you computers hard drive keep it up . it is the worst thing to do. put it in standby ot turn off. i am serious.!!!!
