Pump won't empty machine

The pump won't empty the machine after washing. All lines are clear. Drain opening is clear. The punp used to start, then stop, start, then stop, etc. Replaced the old pump with a new "improved" style! Worked for two loads! It now does the same thing - pump, stop, pump, stop! We rechecked all hoses and the inlet in bottom of tub - all clear! Is there a control board that could cause this? Could second pump be bad? Anyone know?? IS this why there was a class action lawsuit against the manufacturer??

I had this problem once...either its the timer u turn manualy or the bottom of the big round thing that spins it is not spinning..the spin cycle is a whirlpool effect that pushes the the water up a tube and out....also lay the draintube on the ground...if water comes out slow ...something is weak.

AEG Lavamat 16830 won't drain

The simplest way is to lay the washing machine on the right side so that you filter closer to the floor and from bottom of the washing machine is accessible drain pump. It can be fixed by three screws
or just turn pump counter clockwise and pull out.

Machine had been giving E20 error code - filter cleared and it re-started ok. When wash was in progress - jammed at rinse stage and all lights came on (except spin speeds) and humming noise and nothing...

E20 is an error code for drainage failure.

Check where the appliance drain hose connects to the house drains for a blockage.

If it's onto a spigot under the sink, take them off and check both for a blockage.

If these are ok then it's likely to be a blockage in the pump.

You'll need to drain the water out manually.

Put a shallow dish below the filter and slacken the filter.

Tighten it to stop the flow of water while you empty the dish.

Once empty, take the filter out, clean out the debris and ensure nothing is left jamming the pump.

Before refitting the filter, put the machine on drain or spin and listen at the filter housing to see if you can hear the pump running.

If you do, fit the filter and try the machine again.

Water will not drain

Here is the Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.

What makes you say the drain pump/line is clogged? Have you taken an error code to the display of ND for no drain? Is the machine is a FAV6800A or FAV9800A?

Is the machine failing in spin cycle of the wash cycle?

Can you supply more info regarding your no drain issue?

If there is a drain line/pump clog we would start at the Sump Cap disconnect the drain line from it and inspect the Sump Cap for debris. We would have to check if the input hose is blocked or the impeller of the drain pump blocked.

The drain pump is a tight work area I will attach a Pic of the Drain Pump location for the FAV6800A/FAV9800A machines with the Outer Tub removed. It’s located on the right side of the machine. You will see the short drain line hose from the Sump Cap to the input of the drain pump and the exit drain line clearly in this pic. But before all that I would have you place 5 gallons of water in the machine by bucket fill then turn on the drain pump in Service Mode and time the wash tub to empty the water fill about 25 seconds max. That would give me an idea if we are dealing with drain pump/line restriction issue.

Hi, I have an LG 1412RD washer dryer. I received the DE error message so opened the front to access the door lock and plugged in the electric socket which seemed loose. Now I am getting the OE message...

http://www.lg.com/au/support/product/support-product-profile.jsp?customerModelCode=WD-1412RD&matchedModelCode=NOT_MATCHED&searchEngineModelCode=WD-1412RD&initialTab=documents&targetPage=support-product-profile#
Owners manual above. LG washing machine error code – OEThe LG error code OE simply means “the pump is blocked”. Presumably the water isn’t being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn’t pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

Machine won?t drain but pump seems to be running. Also the hose that comes from the drum to the pump looks collapsed as if its vapor locked that?s the best description I can give

Hi,
The most common reason for the washing machine not to spin or sometimes not to drain is the punp.If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:
If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt.
If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Zanussi ZWF1437W E23

E23 indicates Drain pump faulty; Wiring faulty; PCB faulty.

The service information also says it should stop with the door open.

Unplug the appliance and manually remove the water via the filter or front drain point if it's fitted.

Drain it into a shallow dish, tighten the filter when you need to stop the water (or plug the hose if draining via a hose) while you empty the container.

Once empty, try the door again.

Take the filter out and clean out any debris in it.

Plug the appliance in and put the machine on a drain programe.

Listen/look at the open filter to check that the drain pump is running.
