When I tune on the tv, it clicks off after a few seconds. Don't know whether to get rid of the tv.
Mrman: It is a great chance Jeff that your Power Supply Board (specially the FlyBack) could not hold the voltage requirement to let your TV set on. If you love your TV set, I'll suggest to keep it and repair it. Probably you would have to replace the FlyBack and then check out if the TV stays on. This will cost you from $75.00 to $95.00, but it will not guarantee that it will stay on. I really suggest you to replace the main power board (from $175.00 to $250.00 - with core exchange). It is something you can do on your own and I'll recommend you to check on the following site (my favorite to buy parts, service is also ok): http://www.vancebaldwin.com/ SithPitt

I had the same problem, but now the TV stays on with a distorted picture and a terrible sounding white noise of sorts. Same issue = same solution
