Doesnt matter if I use the File/Print command or use the Print Icon, the printer prints out code and not what is shown in Print Preview. The MX-300 shows to be the default printer. Can the problem be in IE7???? If so, what is the fix for tis problem??
Thanks

When you print from the Internet, are you clicking on the printer icon or are you using File/Print? If you click on the icon, you are using the system default printer, which may not be the MX-300. Click on File/Print and see which printer is selected. Assuming you are using MS Excel, try going into page setup, sheet, and check the setting for 'print black & white'. If it is checked, then try unchecking it.
Try printing to a different printer if possible. This may shed some light on whether the problem is with the printer or with Excel. You could also open the file on a completely different PC and printer to see if something is corrupt in the file. Also try creating a completely new document to see if it will print in landscape. Can you print in landscape orientation from MS Word or another program?
ok... here are some general tips... in your print driver make sure that it is set to spool documents... it gathers everything and then prints... make sure the print driver isn't shared from a server... servers are famous for distorting excel printer communication.... it isn't the konica... its a print driver excel conflict...
There's apparently a problem bwtween your Office suite and the spooler. Usually uninstalling/reinstalling the Office suite will fix the problem. (please do a backup of all your Office documents before proceeding!)
When reinstalling, please make sure that any antivirus program is shut down or deactivated during install, in some cases for example Norton Antivirus will block files that need to be updated, causing problems. You SHOULD use some form of virus protection when using your computer, don't get me wrong! :)
2 more things to try.
Assuming it is USB
Change USB port.
Re boot the computer.
Replace the cable.
Reboot the computer.
Coming back to the driver software.
Go to Start /Printers and Faxes/Install new printer
Leave what is there in place
When the Wizard comes up and asks
CD or Select from list
Choose select from list - then go to HP and your model and simply load the generic driver.
Try each alteration one at a time
Tell us what you get.
