The laptop shows color distortion. So the LCD display was taken from a smaller version of the DV9925nr and tested with the DV9925nr system and it displayed everything correctly. A new LCD display was ordered, but when we got it and tested it, it still showed the same issue. The cable and power inverter were tested on the DV6000 (the smaller version of the DV9925nr) and all of the cables passed. I can't figure out why the LCD from a different Pavilion is working on the DV9925nr and not the LCDs that go with the DV9925nr. My thinking is leading me to some sort of electrical issue, maybe...
Go to start menu type in search bar adjust screen resolution then click on advanced settings should find what u need there
Question is though, why does any of this not affect the LCD display from the smaller version of the pavilion?
have u tried a screen detection
oh sorry actually this happen to me last night and i couldnt figure it out so i restored to an earlier point n

When I talk about color distortion, I'm not talking about something that can be fixed by settings in the Control Panel. I'm talking about the type of distortion you get when you have a magnet next to an LCD screen.
Just an update...for some reason the new LCD worked...but I was playing around with it the day after and now it has the same issue. I'm beginning to think this may be an electrical interference of some sort.
