Screen cost? would anyone know what a screen might cost for a pioneer projection sd-p5191-k

All the mirrors are of special construction: a normal mirror will not function or produce a good picture.

Consider looking online (GOOGLE) for one of the several vendors who sell replacement mirrors by brand/model number or contact Pioneer to see if mirror available.

There are also people parting these sets out on Ebay from time to time.

It is likely that the CRT's (picture tubes or bulbs) are weak. It is a major job to change and all three should be changed to make the picture like new. However, it is not costwise to repair this old of a TV even if you can get the tubes. I estimate the cost of each tube is at least $200 each. I would call Pioneer and give them your model number and see if they are available. Only a trained technician should change the tubes because it requires a lot of time and setting up of the tubes and other things.

Pop the bottom front cover off (that is over the speakers) first. This will expose 2 brackets that hold the moulding around the screen in place. Un-screw the brackets enough so you can get the moulding off and take it off. Once the moulding off you will see the brackets that hold the actual screen in place. Loosen these brackets and VERY carefully remove the screen (it will wobble and bend so I would recommend 2 people do this). Lay the screen down on a soft surface that will not scratch it. Clean and re-install screen, tighten brackets, re-install moulding, tighten brackets and pop the speaker cover back on.

My SD P 50A3-K We unplugged it and now wont come back on to stay...we turn it on then the red lite comes on green flashes on then right back off.....Some times tv will come back on then it shuts it self off....please help thank you

The screen looks like a bad 3D movie without the glasses. Anyone know how to fix this?

Convergence amp. IC's on power supply PCB need replacement.
Part # STK392-110 sub to upgrade STK394-160E. I use Hitachi ,
no re-calls! Not advisable to use generics......
Worth repairing unless you are ready for a change......T.
