LCD Screen Blank

My LCD screen initialy lost colour and showed images in black and white. With a little wiggling sometimes I got the colour back. Now the screen is just blank, although the Eye piece works fine and themachine records and plays perfectly well. I presume this is a loose connection, any ideas please. Thanks Pete (pronatureboy)

I have a panasonic mini DV camcorder NV GS75, the LCD screen lits up but no image is seen. However when the LCD is closed , image can be seen through view finder, all function is okay except the LCD display.

Hi, this usually happens with the ribon cable which is giving power and signal to LCD is becoming loose or damaged due to folding..since the LCD wiring replacemet is a skill needed task i recommend you to give it to the nearest service centre so that your cam will be ready for future shots all the best my friend sreejith

My LG TV has suddenly become darker all across the bottom of the screen (10cm strip) it still has colour but is darker. In left hand corner it is considerably darker and depending on what you are watching...

Hi; your TV has burn screen or traces.it comes from one image left on the screen for too long, it can get burned into the screen, making it visible at all times. You can actually eliminate most screen burns with the use of a PC computer and a black and white screen saver. This trick eliminates screen burn after a period of several minutes because the black and white screens flash quickly, removing all traces of color from the screen. This will eventually eliminate any burned images on the LCD screen. you can do it by creating a DVD picture slide with only black and white image. you can use a computer to make DVD picture slide first go to paint brush and draw only white then save as white.jpg. second burn it into nero or other dvd burner third play it to your DVD player connected to you LCD TV.it has to be played in full screen let the white image display on your HDTV for several hours or even overnight. It should remove any burned-in images or ghosts. hope this help...............

Blank screen,i.e,white colour with some bluish dots on my mobile

if these blue marks are like ink and afer pressing it seems like it spreading then it means your main lcd is demage and you have to change it.

if its not the case and lcd is completely blue or black

then check the lcd connector if there is any wet, clean it i not, change your keypad flexi.

My acer 9300 when switched on shows a blank screen (black with some faint white back ground) but the process of starting windows goes normally coz i can view this when connected to a monitor whats a miss ?...

If you see a very dim image or black screen or flicking image on the LCD screen it means you have a backlight problem.

Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power it up, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight.

Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

it would be easier to find it stripped from a damaged set on ebay.
I see several there but need the part number to search
of course you may purchase that and find it to be the lcd driver.hopefully not.

Blank White Screen - No Menu Showing

My Sansa has a similar problem. Sometimes when the Sansa turns on (after the Sandisk logo) the screen will either turn black, blue, or black and white stripes. The player still works, but it is hard to navigate without the screen, obviously. What I end up doing is letting the backlight turn off and then pressing any button. Sometimes when the screen comes back, the display is allright again. But sometimes it takes more than a few tries. Turning it off and on again seems to work a little better, but it is more time consuming.

The internal Li-Ion backup battery in my camcorder will no longer charge. The camcorder is a GR-DVL9000. What's involved in changing this battery? I know that you will say that this should only be attempted by an expert but this camera is quite old and does not warrant a lot of expense. I come from an electronics background and should be able to do it myself with a bit of help - such as the relevent pages from the service manual. Can you help please?
