Remove printer drivers

You can check your laptop further by booting it from Safe Mode. To boot your computer in Safe Mode, try to tap continuously F8 function key on your keyboard immediately when you start your computer. It will lead you to an Advanced Menu from where you can choose the option "Safe Mode" and hit enter to boot your computer to safe mode. Now try to check the display driver in the device manager (Control Panel >System > Hardware >Device Manager) If it is not there, try to reduce the screen resolution and reboot your computer to the normal mode. If you are still getting the blank screen in Normal mode, try to boot computer back in Safe Mode and try to restore your computer to earlier time when it was working fine for you. To do so click on Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next. On the Select a Restore Point page, click the most recent system restore point in the "On this list, click a restore point" list, and then click Next. Now confirm the restoration and click on Next to complete the restoration and follow the wizard.
Cheers!

Screen goes blank

Try to load to safemode by restarting the pc and hitting F8 before loading the windows, after you load to safemode right click on desktop screen and hit properties and check if you change the size of screen?or the setting there? also look for the device manager of your vedio card and check if it works properly.
If all this not working this means your vga converter has problem this is card inside your laptop mostly happen with dell laptops, if you donot want to change it now, try to see if you have external screen port and connect your laptop to external screen.
Let me know wat happen?

Screen goes blank soon after switching on

Try "Safe Mode" (holding F8 key on boot and selecting "Save Mode"), then run diagnostics and an up to date (virus definitions) Anti-Virus full scan.
If Safe Mode is not accessible then you may want to consider a format and clean install by booting to your Windows (?) CD.
