Frigidaire Dishwasher FDB1050REC1 - Washing Indicator Light Blinking

I am currently having a problem with my dishwasher. It is less than a year old. Whenever I try to start a cycle by pressing the start/cancel button, the washing indicator light just blinks and it will not start. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Washing Indicator Light Blinks - but the darn thing doesn't start. It's closed properly (I hear the click), I've tried turning the circuit breaker on & off. Still just blinks.

Blinking "washing" light, cycle does not start... checked water feed, no problem there... door clicks shut fine...

Worked fine yesterday. Today, I have the flashing Indicator light. It is one month past the warrenty. Of course. Since it is built-in, I don't know how to check the water hookups.

I have the same problem, but there is flooding on the bottom of the dishwahser. Maybe it is a clogged drain? I am going to try and clean out the strainer and drain the pool of water when I get home. The not starting may be a smart feature the dishwasher uses to prevent flooding of the floor.

Here is what happened, you pulled the door open without pressing cancel and allowing it to pump the water out, hence the "flooding in the bottom". This is just one reason why it maybe blinking, there is a water sensor in the bottom. If your dishwasher is hooked up properly to any decent garbage disposal, run the disposal for about 30 seconds to a minute. This should pump the water out, more like activate a light siphoning affect. It should work as normal. If you are not having luck with that, detach the DW drain get it low and let it siphon.

Make sure the water feed is open....although I don't know this make and model, a flashing light at the start of a program is usually always to do with a water feed problem....make sure there is sufficient water pressure at the hose (by closing the tap, removing the feed from the dishwasher and opening tap with hose in bucket) You will be surprised how many times a worn tap washer is to blame for low pressure. A stiff turning tap is always a sure sign of problems.... If the unit is a integrated model, make sure that when you close the door it "clicks"...if it does not activate the door switch properly, there could be a flashing light. Sometimes the integrated units "move" deeper into the enclosure, and the door will not close properly to activate the door switch. Oshie
