Question about Proview PL913S 19" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
Hi, I had a problem with my monitor - blank screen but the power light was green. I then had it replaced, and set upthe new monitor but have the exact same problem. I've tried a different monitor and that works fine on the computer. But this is what puzzles me - I connected the monitor that doesn't seem to work to another computer and it works fine. Whats causing this? Do I need to update drivers for anything? Thanks

Some capacitors are bad on the power pack(it is upside down) so when you take the cover off you have to unscrew the board to see the bad caps they are grouped together and usually only a few fail but I have replaced as many as 6 at one time

The problem is not your monitor, but the video card on your computer that it doesn't work on. If the video output on your computer is built in, residing near your keyboard / mouse ports, you can purchase another video card to put into your computer and connect your monitor up to that instead. If it attaches to a separate card inside your computer, just replace it. There are three kinds you can get, AGP, PCI, or PCIe. Make sure you get one that will fit inside your computer.

Yeah, I did read it could be that. Because before I replaced this monitor I changed my graphics card from a radeon x100 to x550. I thought it might be something to do with drivers of these cards.
Also before when I would move the monitor the screen would go blank, and I'd have to move it around for it to work again. And also when I went to start up the computer I had to take the monitor cable out of the back of the computer and put it back in to get a picture.
Also, just one question. If it is the video card how come one monitor works on the computer and another one doesn't? I don't really understand.
