that is to access the configuration menus of the router. you mush login with a username and password, the configure the router to require a secure protocol... meaning any body connecting to your router is required to login with a password. The connect between the device and the router is secure. Beyond that (Router to Internet) read up on it! You could use a VPN,
Being that you didn't give detail about the pin configuration on the drive vs the cable (ATA to SATA, SCSI), You could return to the place you purchased from and have them correct the cable issue. 2. You could visit Radio Shack, Best Buy, etc to get an adaptor that will connect the two together.
How you connect to the router configuration page is depended upon how you have your router management configured. I believe by default belkin routers allow for remote configuration so if you didn't configure any security on your router someone may have altered your configuration. The default method for configuring your router requires.
An ethernet cable plugged from your computer to a LAN port on the router
The correct Gateway address (Start > Run > Type "CMD" at the command prompt type "ipconfig" look at your gateway address
In a web browser type in http://192.168.0.1 in this example
If you still can't access it I'd suggest pressing the reset button on the back of the router and re-configure the router in case of tampering. Comment if you need any further assistance
it seems that ur PC & cable modem configuration is ok, now the problem is with ur router WAN interface configuration. the problem would be one out of 2 - first to check whether ur router wan interface is configured properly to obtain IP address from DHCP (if possible, u can give the static ip address with same series as cable modem) second to check with ur ISP.
Hi there,
Depending on which type of phone you have;if you have one with a display you will see "Trans" on most Nortel phones with displays. It's only the M3902 which has a button either wriiten "Transfer" or dotted like a boomerang.
Hope this will help
Those are just messages about the stream sockets closing without the protocol closing the connection cleanly. What that means is that the Data network is not configured correctly, I assume somebody made a change or upgraded a network switch and didn't configure it correctly.
Hi There Joecohn, Definitely, the username and password for your PPPoE connection is correct since that it works perfectly with your Linksys router. If you are getting a WAN IP Address from the status or summary page of your D-link router then you can lower down the MTU size of your router to 1492. If it didn’t work, upgrade or reflash the firmware, reset it back to the factory default and reconfigure the router for PPPoE connection again. If it will not obtain an IP address or even if it has a WAN IP but can’t go online then we can consider it as a hardware failure on the D-Link router. Have it replaced.
