At least 7 things that could cause it not to heat. Heating element, improper voltage, thermal cutoff, high limit thermostat, operating thermostat, timer, and motor. Probably time to call lol cal competent service person.

SOURCE: How do I fit a new drive belt for my Kenwood KVT1W Tumble Dryer

Remove the piece of angle iron from the top back of the LG DLE2514 and slide the top back. This exposes the screws holding the control panel on.
The control panel is held on by two screws, but they are at an ackward angle. The pannel has plastic tabs, when disengaged the panel pulls up.
There should be enough cable to set the pannel on top of the machine without disconecting anything.
Taking off the front pannel is easy at this point. Under the control pannel are four screws holding the front on. The Door has two screw holding it on and two alternates on the other side. The last two screws are at the bottom of the door opening.

SOURCE: where is the driver belt for kenwood tumble dryer

It is a long, narrow belt that runs from the motor underneath up and around the drum. You should be able to find an exploded view at as long as you have the complete model number. Good luck.

Why portable dryer heats but does not spin?

Open it up and check the belt inside. A belt is around the drum and around a pulley at the motor. If it is broken or has slipped off, then it wont spin.

I have a dryer which stops spinning some times, I have to manually spin the drum for it to start again. This may happen several times during a cycle.

I assume you mean it still heats fine and everything? Tear it apart and see if the belt is in good condition and routed properly and that the pulley spins easily. If everything checks fine maybe you just have some bad spots in the motor. Good luck.

Try to check the fuse sometimes depending on the dryer the fuse will go out and stop all heat if that is the case all you have to do is replace the Dryer fuse

Electric dryer doesn't heat.

Probably a bad heating element. There are a few different styles, you'll just need to lookup your model number on an appliance parts website, find the right part, and then do a quick search on replacement. There are probably ten or fifteen websites that have instructions to replace heating elements.

Here's one where you can buy the part, the element is part number 17.

Dryer doesn't spin

Look around for stiff wheels, bad bearings, glides and idlers. Its a good idea to oil the rollers with some temp resistant oil such as zoom oil. Dont use WD40 as this stuff is highly flammable and may cause a fire.

Model WED5300SQ0 not heating and timer not working

Well with moving it around and all it could have any number of things happened. If it wont tumble, no lights, no heat or anything check that the plug has 240volts to it. then check the wiring going into the dryer may have broke wires or anything like that. but I would check the plug first if it has no power what so ever. If you check the plug and it doesn't have power check the breaker to see if it is tripped.

Power on but it won't spin.

You have a broken drive belt. To access the belt you have to remove the back metal cover.
The no heat problem could be a heating element or safety thermostat. These are also located under the back metal cover.

Have you tried to bypass the hi limit switch or the thermal switch. It will work. If it works for a few times, then you will know the switch is bad. I did this on a friend's one time and it solved it. Only cost about 15 bucks. Godd luck and let me know how it turns out.
