Slow clock The clock is running slow, if I set the time correctly and wait for and hour, it will be 10 mins behind. Anyone know how I can fine tune the clock's speed? Thanks

There is an external 9V/AC power supply and a 9V battery for backup power, there is no battery just for the clock. I think there is an adjustment switch or something like that to fine tune the clock speed (to increase or decrease the voltage to the clock crystal) somewhere inside the phone or maybe it can be done by keypad combinations...
    Thanks for your help.

Is there a separate battery for the clock memory? If so I would try changing that. Otherwise the clock is probably busted. Digital clocks would not normally loose more than a few seconds a year. If the clocks crystal oscillator broke it may cause this. That could happen if the crystal was not glued down or came loose.

I can guarantee you there is no clock speed adjustment. Sounds like there is a bad component or a bad solder connection.

True GDM-10 started making loud noise AFTER door was slammed after getting something inside; checked inside fan was running slow. Noise sound like something stuck in motor.

without knowing age of unit, I suggest replacing the motor. Sounds like the armature is worn the bearings and is moving inside the windings of the motor. I would do that first before moving forward with any other repairs.

How do I set the clock in the radio?

Typically, you have to hold down a "Time" or "Clock" button, then press either a fast or slow button and hold it until the display reads the correct time. Some models have hour and minute buttons instead of fast or slow, and a few have a slide switch that you move to the clock adjust position (it would also have an alarm set position) before the hour/minute or fast/slow buttons are enabled. Some clocks reset to 12:00 AM if you hold Clock, Fast and Slow all at the same time. You'll just have to experiment a bit to find out what works on yours.

Radio controlled Barolo Clock with hands keeps resetting an hour behind.

It sounds like it is receiving a DST signal instead of an MSF signal or vice versa depending on your country, they are one hour apart.
Unless this clock has a choice of signal settings the best way is to gently remove and reset the hour hand to the correct hour.

Min are incorrect & hr. is on 24hr.. SkyScan

Suggest you pull the batteries out and do all of the settings from scratch.

As you press the settings button, you will be able to pick 12 or 24 hour. Don't enter a time. Just leave it on auto.

If you don't get the signal receive icon (looks like a radar antenna) move the clock around and try some other locations.

I have 2 Emerson Research SmartSet Clock Radios-1 is 2 mins slow the other is 10 mins slow. Is there a method of correcting the problem? Alan Loso

There is a process by which you can adjust time on all clocks. Please use that. It should be depicted by "Set". Select this followed by "Time". The numerals will start flashing. Then you can use the + or - buttons to adjust the time.

Bose Wave Radio/CD clock running very slow. Now that I've moved it across the pacific ocean(US to NZ) the clock is suddenly running very slow, losing 10-15 minutes per hour while running on any...

My guess is that the clock in the radio is based off of the AC line frequency (not voltage). In the US the line frequency is 60hz (hertz). I'm guessing that the line frequency in NZ is 50hz, which would seem to explain that extreme amount of time loss. I would check with Bose, but I'm betting they make different 50hz models for export.

I try to set the time and temp and just keeps blinking

try to push and hold after you set the time and/or temp until it flashes the appropriate setting then stays solid

if there is a menu button.... time, hour... press till the right hour is on, min.... til the right min is on then menu or ok and either release or hold....

basiclly a process of elimination.

not sure if it will solve your issue. just giving you another option to try.

also unplug and wait 10 sec to let the slow cooker reset before you try again

Wrong time on Emerson Smart Set clock

This is a problem with the clocks tuning crystal. Digital clocks have a crystal that is tuned to run at a certain frequency to keep the clock working correctly. These clocks have a problem with that crystal keeping the frequency locked at the correct working frequency. This problem will sometimes cause the clocks to run fast due to a running frequency higher than the regulated frequency and sometime slow due to a running frequency running lower than the regulated frequency. The only way to fix this problem is to either adjust the crystals frequency to the correct frequency and lock it. Or change the crystal. Both these types of service require tools and test equipment to fix the problem. This is usually best handled by a service center. The Emerson customer support telephone number is 1-800-898-9020. Give them the make and model number of your clock radio and ask them for assistance. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
