Toshiba 46H84 HDMI Card Replacement

I purchased the46H84 Toshiba Rear Projection TV in 2005. I did not have any components that had HDMI capabilities, when I purchased the TV. I purchase an HDMI DVD Player eariler this year 2007. Come to find out the HDMI output on my TV does not work. I purchased a replacement part that looked nothing like the HDMI output card on my TV. I need help. What do I need to do to replace the HDMI Output and make the HDMI Output work? Thanks for any help...

The only thing I could recommend is to return the board and get the right board. open the set and get the part number on the board itself. You cannot modify a set to work things it was not designed for without reprogramming the microprocessor. Good Luck

Replacements can be found at www.TvRepairKits.com and its located behind a small door on the rear of the tv.

Toshiba 46h84 rear projection shutting down

I have a Toshiba 46h84 with similar problem that needs a new green crt. Mine does not have a cooling fan. I don't know if having a cooling fan would help the problem, but mine didn't come with one. There are rear projection TV's that have bulbs in them that require a fan. This particular model uses a red, a green, and a blue crt to generate the picture and probably doesn't need one.
