You no longer have a TV but a parts unit. In most cases, It will cost more to replace the screen than buying a new TV set. Although it is cracked, it still has some value, don't toss it in the dump. Throw that puppy on Craigslist or Ebay(if you have the shipping box) someone will be interested and buy it. Just be realistic with your asking price. Don't be like some lady I encountered who wanted $350 for her Dynex 42" LCD with a cracked screen !!!
A replacement screen will cost between $35 and $55 depending on the website your purchase this from. The job consists disassembling the case (removing the screws). Once the case is off, you unsecure the screen's screws and unclip the ribbon which supplies data to the screen. Without technical skills, it may be beneficial to contact someone who has the technical skills to install this screen. I would highly recommend purchasing your own screen (to save money) and locate someone to install. Here is a YouTube video on disassembling a different model Sony.
Hi avisenis yes you can replace the screen the only problem with the lcd screens is that they tend to led to other problems. so if you have insurance you may want to do it thur the insurance . replacing the outside screen is a simple process. The lcd screen is working fine it the outside screen that is cracked. As long as it isn't a touch screen you can use the phone. A lot of manufactures don't just replace the screens the for free the chargea fee. So your best bet is to get the manufacture to replace it but it may take two weeks.hope this help
The part number for the screen for the KP57WS500 does not match the one for the KDP-57WS550. The inner screen is still available for the KDP using part number 4-095-924-01 for $120.32
I'm afraid you need to replace he LCD screen of your laptop. Replacing LCD screens is a bit complicated, that I suggest you send it to the Manufacturer's Service Center if it is still under warranty to avid voiding your units other warraty.
turn the flip half way, u'll see 2 screws using a torx #6 screw driver unscrew both of those screws and take the screen off it'll be a little tough to get out, but nothing a little tug cant take care of, then do the same to ur friends phone swap the screens put in the screws and VOILA ur fixed
you simply need a replacement screen, or do as I have and redneck mod one. If you get the screen take off the faceplate, (reply with email address for guide), remove the cracked screen, and glue on the new one. (WARNING, NEVER PRY OFF THE CRACKED SCREEN ON TOP OF THE LCD SCREEN) putting pressure on this could completely damage your phone. The other way is to again remove the face plate and cracked screen. then find a hard plastic or plexiglass, cit it out to size and there you go. you can even paint the edges black on the bottom side of the screen and very few will know the difference if you do this correctly.
can u clarify me about the two screen pls...
