How do I do a video webchat

Step 1:
Which messenger service ???? skype ,yahoo ,msn , google....
Use MSN for Video Chat b> Configure your webcam (see Below for help) if your computer does not have a built-in one. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/windowsmessenger/ballew_video.mspx Launch MSN Messenger. Use your email address and password to sign in. Click on "Actions." Point to "Audio/Video" and select the "Start a video conversation" option. Navigate to your contact list. Highlight the username of the contact with whom you wish to video chat and click "OK." An invitation to begin video chat will be sent to the contact. Once the contact accepts the invitation, you will receive a confirmation message. Once the contact accepts your invitation, Messenger will automatically turn on your webcam and the contact will be able to see you. Chat with the contact by typing text into the text field and clicking "Send." Click on the webcam icon to end the conversation.
Do Video Chat With Yahoo Messenger b> Yahoo! Messenger is an instant messaging application allowing users to communicate with each other in real-time.
It is available for several platforms but only the Windows and Mac versions allow video chats.

Minimum Requirements
Users need to have a webcam and a headset or a microphone and speakers in order to video chat. It is also necessary to have a Yahoo! account. b> System Requirements for Windows Windows users need version 10 or higher of Yahoo! Messenger for Windows, Windows XP or later, a computer with at least a 1 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM or more in order to video chat. b> System Requirements for Mac Mac users need version 3.0 or higher of Yahoo! Messenger for Mac, Mac OS X 10.4 or later, either a G4 with a 400 MHz processor or a Mac with an Intel processor and at least 512 MB of RAM in order to video chat. b> Webcam Compatibility for Mac Many Macs for home use come preinstalled with a webcam but if yours does not, you can check its compatibility with Messenger with the BTV software program from Ben Software. b> Webcam Compatibility for PC Yahoo! provides a test page for PC users to test their webcams.

I have htc maple s520 how to download yahoo messenger

Visit Yahoo! website. They do have a link that provides the download for PPC.
http://mobile.yahoo.com/messenger
or you can also try from
m.yahoo.com/messenger (from phone's browser)
or from
getjar.com/yahoo-messenger (from phone's browser)

However, still there are some issues in getting it to connect via GPRS, as it does not take accept the WiFi connectivity.

Alternately, you can use Webmessenger, which integrates MSN, Y!, AOL, ICQ.

It says trial, but keeps running even after the trial period.
But, Try Y! Messenger First and later on change to Webmessenger only if you have any problems with Y! Messenger.

HOW DO I TURN ON MY WEBCAM?

Depends on your software that you want to use your built-in webcam in. First, there should be Photo Booth under Applications, in every Mac with built-in webcam. Then you can also use iChat with MobileMe or Jabber account. For MSN Messenger, just download the newest Messenger for Mac from Microsoft website. Every one of those programs should automatically detect your webcam, unless it's used by another program, and in that case you should see a warning.

I have a laptop computer and i don't know how to activate the cam for my messenger?

There are many messengers one can use on mac,and I am not clear which one you are referring to. I am therefore providing many answers about many ways you can message and videoconference on mac. msn messenger does not have video conferencing for macs.( I also searched for some time to discover this!) You can get msn messenger for mac (the download) but it does not include video chatting!! I am sure of this. There is also a download for Yahoo messenger for mac which includes videoconferencing http://messenger.yahoo.com/mac/, However, Skype is great for mac videoconferencing. (My favorite). Gmail also has something to download for videoconferencing also. http://www.google.com/chat/video. There is also Ichat for macs http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iChat/4.0/en/15610.html and this is the page with info about setting it up, and AIM. And here is a tutorial for ichat and AIM video conferencing: http://www.mvldesign.com/video_conference_tutorial.html. ...... However.... I personally love Skype. Download it at Skype.com, create user name and password and then invite contacts. To activate the cam go to Skype preferences on the top of the screen, choose video and check off Enable Skype video to see your friends and also check off Start Automatically if you want them to to see you (or you can click the icon for the video after you are on a call with them for them to see you only if you want to be seen on that one call!). If you find this answers your question I would so much appreciate a positive vote!

Unable 2 use messenger for vista

Hi There!

As i Understand you successfully downloaded yahoo messenger foe vista, however you cannot login using your username and password.
It seems like some of your files are corrupt. Please uninstall yahoo messenger and reinstall again from the link given below,
http://messenger.yahoo.com/download/vista/

Also once you have installed the new yahoo messenger, see that you have internet connection to get connected using your username and password.

Logitech to Mac

I had a search and found these Q&A's, so see if these can sort out your problem. Q. Can I talk/see to Windows users? A. Yes, there are video conferencing standards in existence, and if these are adhered to and implemented properly it should mean that Mac applications could connect to Windows applications - or even dedicated hardware solutions. However, at the moment, the simplest way is to use iChat on the Mac, and AIM on the Windows system. The results are nowhere near as good as an iChat to iChat link, but it works. Also, consider iVisit, Yahoo Messenger, SquidCam or ohPhoneX. Q. Can I use Virtual PC on the Mac to use MSN Messenger, and so talk to Windows users that way? A. In theory it might work, in practice I've not got it to work using Virtual PC 7 and a USB Logitech webcam. (Virtual PC will definitely NOT support the FireWire iSight camera). The USB camera required drivers to work on the Virtual PC, and installing them caused my iMac G5 to crash. Even if it did work, Virtual PC is NOT fast at this kind of thing and would probably not work very well at all with video conferencing. If you really need MSN Messenger to work quickly with video, it's almost better picking up a cheap PC.
