I need to confirm that a fax was transmitted about 3 months ago. Whenever I print out a "Journal" of Transmitted and Recieved facsimiles, the list always stops short of the week in which I remember sending it. How do I get the machine to spit out a list from the window of time that I want? Is there any other way to confirm that this fax of mine indeed got transmitted?

Most machines will only keep a certain amount of transactions in memory. Your fax that you are looking for is probably over the amount of transmissions kept in memory. One suggestion, if the fax was a long distance number, you could check your phone for that number. You also might want to set your machine to print a confirmation report for every fax sent and staple it to your fax for further reference.

Use the operators manual and get the machine to print out the "transmit journal"... depending on model this will only provide a list of the last 25, 50, or 100 txed faxes ... so don't wait too long.
Open 1 Touch Speed Dial Panel. Press <Data Registration>. Press <Set>. Arrow down to (2.Report Settings). Press <Set>. 1.TX Report . Change from "Print Error Only" to "Output Yes". This will cause a confirmation report to be printed after every transmitted fax.

Yes. SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin and Web Image Monitor let you remotely view a device's transmission history as well as its saved destination data.
You can install SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin from the CD-ROM that was included with your device, or download it from the device's website. However, SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin can only be used on a computer which has the TCP/IP protocol correctly installed.
Once you have confirmed that SmartDeviceMonitor is installed, to confirm that your fax was transmitted properly, follow these steps:
1.Open SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin by clicking [Start] on the taskbar, pointing to [All Programs] and then [SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin], and then clicking [SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin].
2.Click the device whose information you wish to display.
3.On the [Tools] menu, click [Load Fax Journal].
4.When Web Image Monitor opens in your web browser, click [Job], click [Fax History], and then click [Transmission].
