Question about Acer TravelMate 2201LCi Notebook
This message normally relates to norton go back corrupting the master boot record, i have had a few occasions of it, you will need to set your laptop to use the cd drive as first boot device (press F2 or Del on start up)in the advanced cmos settings, save and exit. Insert your windows cd in your drive and boot up the notebook and when prompted press enter to boot from cd and when windows installs the system files you will have a choice to press 'R' for repair or enter to install windows, if you press 'R' you will have to choose the operating system, just follow instructions and then if a password is required just press enter and then in the next prompt type 'fixmbr' and press enter, or if you choose install windows will see you have an operating system installed and ask if you want to format and install or repair system files.

In the main or system setup screen you should be able to see the date and time Using your arrow keys navigate to the date and change the date. Once highlighted on the month, day, or year, press your arrow keys or your page up / page down keys to change the date.
hope this helps you
