Going according to manual, pressing PT1 several times after 'off show' should bring me to the water hardness - but it does no such thing. I am getting the lock option etc. but not the water hardness.Going according to manual, pressing PT1 several times after 'off show' should bring me to the water hardness - but it does no such thing. Contact these guys, they import Smeg products into the country and have manuals available online also.

in cleaning a pyrolitic oven is suppose to lock the oven door , this is a safety feature due to fact that oven gets up much higher in temp than a normal oven , the heated air it produces if let out would flash burn anything in front of it to ashes (people, pets, rugs, etc.) the clock doubles as your display window to see what temp oven is at , there should be a clock selection to see current time of day even if oven is in use , and last but not least , it has a delay cleaning start feature , you can set it to come on and clean it's self , Id recommend not to use this feature for safety reasons (I don't think the mfg thought that feature out too much )
the door should remain locked till oven temp is below a preset minimum safe temp ,id not force it open for safety reasons
This is late response but this fault is your fan element. You have two of them, if heating slower than usual, it is only one that has failed. When replacing one, it is recommended the other one be replaced. Tripping the circuit breaker is the symptom. These elements 2100 Watt each are anywhere between $70 to $110.

Typically on any self cleaning oven, remove the racks and any pots/pans etc and wipe any excessive food stuffs etc from the bottom and set it for 3 hours.
