After purchasing the Protron two years ago, a friend was impressed by the picture and ordered one. I then ordered a 2nd set for my son. In just over two years all three sets no longer work because of faulty AC Adapters. Sadly, finding a replacement adapter is near impossible because of the Input/Output requirements and 4 pin connector. After numerous calls to Protron beginning 6 months ago, I firmly believe they have no intentions of acquiring the needed adapter. Stay away from the Protron company and ANY products they sell. They're a disgrace.
I found a replacement adapter at LCDPAYLESS.COM it will arrive soon I will log-on as soon as I get it to let you know if it works. I never ordered anything from them before hope it works. Also i will keep my receipt and seen it to protron to have them refund my money

My brother-in-law has the same crap shopnbc proton and his big brick (PSU w/fan) died in november....
Just Ordered a "replacement" from LCDpaless...
BuyNow/bestoffer $100+$15shipping...
FYI
Came as two smaller power bricks wired together...
a 24V brick and a 12V brick. They are correctly rated so, I'm sure it will work, but was hardly what I expected as a "replacement"... (2 ac cords, 2 bricks, two outputs cords to a connector pigtail)

I found a 30" on the curb with a cut power cord no brick with it
could anyone give me the pin outs of the Cord so i can make a new power-supply

THIS COMPANY STINKS. I CALLED THEM AND ASKED ABOUT GETING A NEW ADAPTER AND WHEN I ASKED IF THE TWO WEEKS WAS REALLY TWO WEEK, THEY HUNG UP ON ME. WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP. I ALSO CALLED SHOPNBC AND THEY COULD'NT DO ANYTHING FOR ME EITHER. I ASKED THEM IF THEY COULD HELP AND THEY SAID"ITS OUT OF WARINTY, SORRY." SO IF YOU BUY A ANYTHING FROM SHOPNBC, EXPECT IT TO BE USELESS AFTER THE WARRINTY PERIOD.I HAVE A 32INCH PICE OF CRAP HANGING ON MY WALL

I have no picture, just black screen. My ac adapter blue light is lit, and my tv red light is lit. How do I know if this is the adapter problem everyone talks about or if I have an actual screen problem. Please help me before my husband goes mad!!!! Thanks

WOOOWW, i have been trying for over 1 year to get to power strip for my protron pltv-32 and i kept getting the same answer it was on back order i have never till this day received a call back a different story NOTHING. My tv was only may a year and half old. was this problem ever resolved for anybody at all cause i would hate to toss the tv cause the company sucks and can't replace 1 simple part

Hi, i'm having the same problem, my AC ADAPTOR 090-02180-I3 it is no longer working and i can't find the equivalent adapter and protron don't have a replacement AC ADAPTOR, so I'm fuk... and everyone that have protron products.
This Protron PLTV-32 Television has been a HUGE disappointment. It is cheap **** and less than 2 years old the AC Adapter quit...just like evryone elses! Has anyone found a suitable replacement?

I have a same problem.... two year and poof the ac adaptor went.. Trying to find a similar output then reattach the end to match up with the tv. Hopefully I can find a similar ac adapter or even the same voltage, amps.

Add me to the disgruntle buyers of the protron from Shop NBC. We purchased the product in June 05 as well as a extended warranty that expired in 07. Well the sound went out in March 08. I recently found out that spectronics has file bankruptcy and is not honoring any warranty work or products. If anyone is having the same problem and can direct me to a solution I will be forever grateful. By the way I am also interested in a law suit. Shop NBC should not be able to get away with this. This product cost us $1499.00 for TV $149.00 for the mount and $129.95 for the extended warranty. Help!!!

I bought two TV's from SHOP NBC and I regret it to this day. The smaller one quit working after a year and is completely without picture or sound. The larger one has a wavy line running down the screen. I had only bought one 52' inch with a reputable company.
