I have tried to remove the central unit to clean it. I was able to do so in the past. I can open the door and press the tab that says "Press". The unit will move a bit, but is stuck on the lefthand side, possibly where the little tube is. Thank you for any help, which I urgently need!
I finally gave up pulling on the central unit - so I just closed the door & it reset & I was then able to easily remove the central unit to clean it.

Two possibilities. You inturrpted the cycle and need to put it all together and turn it on and let it finish the cycle. If this does not work: It is possible that the gear motor is bad or it was overfilled and just can't compress the coffee in it. The brew unit has a small screw on the inside back rail. If you remove this small screw and pull out on the unit it seperates the unit from the receiver that is stuck to the boiler right now. If you can seperate this and depress the switch that the brew unit trips when in and with all the other parts in close the door and let it finish the cycle. If it does you should be able to reinsert the unit. If this does not work go on line and look for an authorized Saeco repar center they can help you.

Push the left side as your push the "Press" button. Push down and back. They do get stuck sometimes. Keep trying. Don't break it, but I used a screw driver one time. Be gentle. Take a deep breath.
