Its really a software type problem i have a sony hometheatre that wont play certain videos. When tvs/home theatres are made they get whatever software that is put in witch most videos require the basic stuff sometimes its outdated or just not compatable.

not all panels, especially older units, have all the latest codecs loaded. the formats it can decode are dependent on the solution and age.

SOURCE: sc-ht500 system cable

You cannot wire this system separately, since it is very difficult to separate the power cables from the others which carry the audio parts.if in any case , lets suppose, you could wire the dvd player separetely, you will have no audio since all the audio frequencies are transfered in this cable to the sub woofer and from there to the satellite speakers.
It would be useless to wire it even if we could as there would never be any audio, only video, no matter what disc you use as the only way the audio is comming is throught this system cable to the subwoofer. Actually its the worst idea to implement in a home cinema system, but well, this is old panasonic.. :)

SOURCE: SC-BT 100 Error Code f61

Had the same problem. Found that the code refers to the cooling fan. Could be that the fan is dusty or not running when the system starts up. I removed the fan with the two screws and reseated the plug. Make certain that the short, black wire (that seems to go to nothing) is securing the plug to the board.

How to connect a ps3 to a panasonic sc-btt190 home theater

My suggestion would be to use the ps3 to connect to TV using hdmi & then use an optical audio output (toslink) from TV to the btt190... You would think they would have one or two hdmi connections there but no they have none.... This is how I connected appletv to the btt190.... Works fine you just have to set tv input to appletv and btt190 input to >>ext in >> digital in....
Good luck. Btw have you connected to network? Did you have any troubles - mine will not connect via cat5 cable...

Ghosting of picture from a Panasonic home cinema system

There must be a fault in the screening of the internal wiring to the scart outlet in the home theatre system. I simply changed the way the player was connected to the TV and the interference disappeared:-

1.) I used the RCA video outlet instead of the scart lead. Picture quality was not compromised. FYI the Panasonic Plasma TV I have has only RGB video input sockets at the back, so I used a scart to RCA adaptor to overcome this problem of connecting old technology to new.

2.) The surround sound when playing DVDs is generated directly from the home theatre system so there was no need to connect the audio from the home theatre system to the TV

3.) I used a pair of RCA leads to connect the "audio out" from the TV to the "audio in"on the home theatre system to provide the option of TV sound through the home theatre system.

Panasonic home Theatre

You need to obtain audio leads and connect from home theatre directly to audio input in back of tv - be careful as there are normally 2 in back of tv
